the blue jackets are the team of the future. Up front they got Nash young and good. Brule, young and good, they added Brassard, young and could be good, and Zherdev, young and good.
They have two solid goalies who have a lot of promise in Marc Denis and Pascal Leclaire. And Adam Foote to teach them all.
Forget about the Pens the Blue jackets are the team of the future.
Sorry superhab...but the team of the future is MONTREAL. They currently are making the playoffs. They have a good farm system of players coming up soon. AND They have Youppi calling the shots!!! GO MONTREAL!!!

Right now are prospects are not very good, we had one of the worst AHL teams in terms of Offense. THe best players on our farm team were Oiler prospects, Brad Winchester and JF. Jacques.
Our forward prospects include,
Maxim Lapierre: A good energy players very much like Steve Begin.
Kostitsyn: Still needs a lot of work defensivly and lacks drive.
Ferland: Grinder who needs work on skating
Chipchura: From what i saw of him in Hamilton still needs work on his skating
Latendresse: Who i would rank as our highest prospect.
Locke: Excellent passer and shooter with a great hockey sense, but he is slow and small. Needs work could be a second line center
Milroy: Doesn't score a lot but is solid defensivly may turn into a checker at best
The problem is Hamilton was depth, not the quality of prospects. We have a lot of top guys in junior and overseas and are considered to have one of the best group of prospects in the league. Hamilton lost Plekanec, Higgins, Ward, Hossa, Hainsey, and Komisarek from the lock-out season. Of course they would take a dive. But our prospects are quality guys. They just need to add better depth to support them.

I agree with you on your assesment on Lapierre and Ferland, to me Milroy=bust (its okay everyteam has some busts), however i take issue with the following guys
Kostitsyn: Better Defensively than you give him credit for. Killed Penalties for the dogs. Very good on cutting down passing lanes with his stick. In the offensive end he really lacked a playmaking centre who could get him the puck. He has a hell of a shot but can't use it if there is no one to pass to him. Looked better in his few NHL games than in most of his AHL ones. WILL BE IN THE NHL next season. Currently our #1 prospect for sure.
Chipchura: Problems in his skating are exagerrated. Here is a guy only 1 year removed from a devastating achilles injury and he captains team canada at the WJHC, now a few months later he is scoring beauty goals in the AHL. His skating got better as the season wore on, and willl continue to improve. The injury he had takes 2 years to get back to 100%, i think you'll see his full speed in the fall.
Locke: Slow and small are the knocks, but has scored at every level he has ever played. To me hes still on the radar as a guy who will surprise.
Lets not forget the young kids on the Habs roster who had great years. Higgins. And those who were good Plekanec, Perezhogin, Komisarek. These guys have to be included in any discussion on Habs young talent.
