If you believe what the so-called experts are saying, this year’s draftees are fairly close in terms of talent and skill-set. In other words, there ain’t much difference between picking (for example) 12th and 25th overall.
So, given that there appears to be no major ‘impact player’ available for the Habs (16th overall), lets all hope that the Habs scouting department has done their homework.
One thing that might be worth noting is that, since the top 15 ranked prospects seem so heavily weighted towards centermen (surprise, surprise) this year, the Habs are likely to have a shot at one of the top 3-to-5 defensemen available in the entire draft…and maybe even a top 3 ranked winger. That ain’t too bad!!!
Note also, Vancouver (14th) and L.A. (11th) have already flipped picks! Could this be indicative of some major movement next Saturday? (And-o thinks that there is a real scrap brewing between at least 3 teams to land Brian Little)
And, FINALLY…the NHL draft is going ‘Primetime’ at 6:00 pm est!!! BRAVO…’bout freaking time!
and-o would that last sentence be its being shown on the bravo network . lol just kidding , i still dont think it will get any more coverage down in the states , i think we and everyone needs to except the fact hockey is a niche sport down there , and grow the game towards the fans they already have .
ALL i hope is that montreal picks that unknown in the draft that will shine years to come in the NHL as a star and the hockey brains will say that montreal really won this draft.
