I'm looking forward to seeing Carolina lift they cup tommorow night, always a great thing to see. So many deserving veterans they have. I'm calling Cam Ward for the Conn Smythe or Rod the Bod ??
I'm predicting a 3-1 Canes win. Good luck to Edmonton.

Well at least they will not have to order champagne. There is already enough "wine" on that team to fill several Stanley Cups.

I for one was not one these people who wanted Edmonton to win because they are a Canadian team. I have been pulling for the Canes since they beat our Habs. I prefer to see a team that hasn't won a cup to win it. Also, it makes me feel less bad knowing the Habs lost to the eventual Stanley Cup winner.
Let's not forget, the Canes were one of the best teams all season and a much well balanced team than Edmonton.
Please note*****This is not a fight, this is not a debate, this is how I feel.....
If it looks as if the Canes are winning tonight I think I'm turning off my TV.
It sickens me that a team sooo geared on running goalies, taking cheap shots & high stickin' can be a finalist, let alone the winner (or whiner lol). They (the players) whine constantly about the same s**t they did to get themselves to the flippin' finals....."ohhhhh he's running our precious goalie", "I just got high sticked in da mouth... here let me bite me lip to produce a little blood & get a 4 min call", "waaaaah the ref's suck". It's vomitious to say the least. Their fans boo icings for cryin' out loud, hardly a hockey city.
& If I have to see Mr. "Bushwhacker" Williams lift that cup over his head.... I pray it falls & hits him in the eye or maybe the cork from the champagne bottle. Either way.....
I hear you MC girl. Don't I know how things could have been different had Koivu not gotten injured or if the referees had called a major penalty with Williams being suspended a game or two.
However, I am still hoping the Canes win much to the chagrin of many of my friends.

I agree with you except Cam Ward won't win the Conn Smythe and I'll tell you why. The Canes have gone back and forth between goalies a few times. Ward has been the number 1 for most of the playoffs, but Gerber's had a few starts, and he's won them some games. The Conn Smythe is the most valuble player and if another goalie can win for you, I think it takes away from a player's perceived value.
He's definitely getting it... regardless of team, thaht guy's an old-style competitor. He always looks hungry and mean, he's makes plays happen and he's got plenty of guts to go around... we need a guy like that lured to the habs, pronto!

Brind'amour doesn't have to win the Conn Smythe Trophy. He can simply hide it under that upper lip of his and smuggle it out of the arena!
