 Whether the Oil win or not. I believe Spacek would be a great signing by the Habs, the guy is one of the most underated  d- man in the league.  Love to see him and Richard Jackman in habs jerseys.  Not top 3 d- man but fairly cheap and great talent!!

I've known about Spacek for a long time, I don't think he's underrated, good defenseman, about the same talent as Markov.

 Gainey could of had him for next to nothing. Oilers traded their 99' second round entry draft pick Tony Salmelainen for him. They needed a d-man more than a player who hasn't amounted to much.
