I think Bergeron should get a little slice of that blame pie, too, the clumsy bastard

I can't believe you are a Habs fan.....you are so happy for Carolina?  Yes, they are a talented team, so why do they have to injure opposing team players?  I wonder if Koivu is enjoying this with his one good eye.

I'm a Habs fan yes and I also respect and acknowledge great teams. Just because Carolina beat Montreal does not mean I have to hate Carolina.

yes bergeron did hit lad but from the side and of course lad fell forward onto the goalie , he was going full tilt at rollie and had nowhere else to go but into the goalie ,i guess "lina"is true to their motto "whatever it takes" high sticks , run goalies , whatever it takes . now if im edmonton i run thier goalies till their hurt , then see how they like it .

If you read my prediction you will see that I said that Rollie was due to fall off his horse and that the difference in the two teams is that carolina has TWO goalies who are interchangeable and Edmonton does not..I am now looking like "Cleo the television Psychic Mahn".

You really can't blame Ladd for this one.  He was driving to the net with the puck, as any forward should do.    Had Bergeron not hit him (also a normal play for him) Ladd could probably have swerved around the net.  So it was nobody's fault; just an unfortunate play.

It would be nice to see Conklin steal a few games.........

I agree Nilsey. Edmonton made alot of how they were going to make Cam Ward's life misreable with lots of "traffic". That is NHL hockey at playoff time.  Ladd simply drove to the net and 99 times out of a hundred that is a harmless play.

I can't bealive how lucky Carolina gets with injuries beside New Jersey everyteam they have faced has fallen ill with injuries or knocked out of the series with an injury. Its a tough pill to swallow and i still expect a great sereis, Edmonton will be playing with tons of emotion after losing Roloson, hopefully they feel like most of you and that it was Ladds fault. Personally i don't think it was Ladds fault or Bergeron, it was kinda of a strange play that happens all the time and usually the goalie does not get hurt even when hit.

Speaking of Cam Ward, he must be wondering what team Aaron Ward plays for!  On the first Oiler goal he was in Cam's way and allowed Pisani to swoop in unimpeded.  And the third goal was an easy shot - probably going wide - that went in off Aaron's derriere.

They're likely laughing about it today..........

Exactly that wasn't Andrew Ladd's fault, he's a big guy, a power forward and he drives the net. If anyone at all it would be Bergeron's fault. I admit though that Carolina got lucky. But coming back from 3-0 is NOT LUCK, that's talent people. I don't think we'll see Conklin in I think Markkanen should see more ice, more experience.

Wow the Canes are awesome it was 3-0 and they come back and win it too wow.

if bergeron hadnt hit him he would have run rollie even harder . he was going full bore to the net and had no intention of letting up , its 1 thing to crash the net its another to crash the goalie , bergeron was trying to keep ladd from running the goalie , but being only 4foot3 he couldnt , i say big george , run their goalie till he bleeds . now i hate carolina even more .

Im sorry, but i have to defend the Canes on this one... It is in NO WAY their fault that Roloson is out, the injury occured when an edmonton player crashed the net wanting to clear another cane who was STANDING in front of the net...he pushed him right into Roloson which is when his knee had been forced the wrong way. In no way is this a LETS TAKE HIM OUT TO WIN situation....please...

sorry johab but it appears you didnt see the incident , ladd wasnot just standing in front of rolli , he had the puck and was coming in off the left wing , driving the net , bergeron tried to take him out before he got to the net but the physics didnt add up in his favor . i am a little biased in my reaction , but not the incident .

I guess I have the attitude of "you live by the sword and you die by the sword". Edmonton has made a habit of making opposition goalies lives hell in the playoffs. Before this series even began the Oilers players stated that they would be "all over Cam Ward". Guys like Ryan Smyth and Passani continuously bump the goalie. It was unfortunate what happened and as much as I hate the 'Canes, I cannot blame Ladd on this one. He drove hard to the net and that is what players are tauight to do from Atom on up.

But if Bergeron hadn't been so ham-fisted in his play, there wouldn't have been an injury...

I Hate that team!!!!  I friggin hate Carolina.  Brinda'mour is ugly, Williams cant control his stick, Lavoillette whining makes my stomach turn, Ladd, Adams, Cullen, all of them... I hate that whole team almost as much as i hate the Bruins and the Leafs.

They are so damn lucky too, Koivu, the top 4 sabres d-men, now Rolly.  WTF???

I also hated their stupid mock applause on the bench after Pronger scored, I hope somehow, someway Edmonton can win.

Go Juice or Conks whoever is in net.

No doubt in my mind that Bergeron blew it here. It happens a lot and most of the time the goaler just gets up, brushes off his jersey, and goes about his business. But this time, the angles just didn't work well. I don't blame the Carolina player, who I think would have avoided contact with Rollie is he hadn't been creamed himself.

That having been said, I hope the loss of their numebr-one guy rallies the Oilers. I think they have a better overall team when they hustle (as they didn't in the third period) and while Carolina seems to have an excellent coaching squad, sheer determination counts for a lot.

Go Oilers.

Les Canadiens sont la

i cant believe you people believe bergeron caused this , if he hadn't hit ladd , rollie would have been run harder . ladd was going full tilt and was 3 feet from rollie when bergeron made contact , ladd wasnt going to stop or turn to avoid him , he was off balance and was going to run the goalie . players are taught to crash the net not the goalie . like i said before carolina has to many accedents go there way for them to be accedents .

You have to look at that replay again in full speed, because Bergeron was going way too fast... and look at Ladd's angle, it wasn't anything that we didn't see from both sides 100 times during the game...

Ok, i saw it once before i posted this post and i recalled LAdd standing ....after seeing it many more times on sportscenter, i realized i was wrong ...Ladd was moving towards the net...but my point stands, this was ENTIRELY because of Bergeron!!! Ladd was cutting towards the net and his angle shows he was going to cut infront of Roloson, but Bergeron slammed him into Roloson.  macneil, look at the replay again and tell me that if Bergeron hadnt done what he did, Roloson still wouldnt be in net tonight. Maybe your biased view at the matter is what is clouding your view, but there was no way Ladd would have ran into Roloson that way had Bergeron not hit him....

Nicely put Johab. It wasn't Ladd's fault. Ladd was driving the net sure but he wouldn't have run over Rolly, he was going to the side wasn't coming out front and then as he was about to make a move, maybe a shot, Bergeron decks him into his own goalie. Bergeron didn't think. How the hell is this Ladd's fault. The NHL encourages power forwards...

I just remember seeing Bergeron come out of nowhere and plugging him...

To me he's the Steve Bartman of Canadian hockey

we'll have to agree to disagree on this , you say players are taught to drive the net , but d-men are taught to drive a guy through the boards , bergeron didnt have enuf beef to move ladd ,only knock him more offbalance than he already was , if it had been smith or pronger we would not be having this convo, we would be saying , did you see the lick they put on ladd ?

Carolina has been running guys since round one on Huet.  Remember??

Huet complained, Brodeur complained, Lindy Ruff Complained...  all about goalies being run by Carolina.

Did you see the elbow Stillman got in on Markannen last night.

Someone on Edmonton needs to step up and give them a taste of their own medicine.

1) Take any Carolina guy out who comes near your crease.  Just plaster him.  Take the two minutes if you have to.  Make a statement.  This is the line.  This far, no farther, it is not acceptable to run my goalie.

2) If you get the chance give Cam Ward a bump or two.  Live by the sword, die by the sword boys.

These guys are ridiculous.
