No doubt...if Saks hadn't been taken out in game 3 Carolina would be on the golf course, IMO. I have never hated a team (besides the Laffs and Booins) as much as I hate the Canes this season.

Let's hope Edmonton stomps 'em.

I HATE THE CANES!!!!!!!! The big bunch of eye pokin', monkey lovin', goalie shovin' airheads!

Let's hope the Oilers make it a quick series & pray that each game ends with a score of 9-1 for Edmonton. (Wouldn't that be great???)

Stop hating on the Canes. With their breakout season, excellent playoffs. So many good vets. and a young star goalie...... They deserve to be where they are. They beat New Jersey, Montreal, Buffalo...... And they're the only team to reach the Stanley Cup Finals twice in 4 years, give them your respect.

I'll give them respect for taking us out the first time. However, not this time - not the way it was done. They have emerged, in my opinion, as a dirty goalie-running team of high-sticking divers. They have not earned my respect.

However, I do agree with your statement about Ward, that kid has been UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! I wouldn't mind Ward & Huet on the Habs.... two guys with their kinda talent can make miracles happen.

It's too bad he's on such a crap team (LOL just trying to jazz ya up H&A)

Im sorry, but edmonton deserves this one MUCH more than Carolina! This is almost exactly like last seasons Stanely Cup Final with Tampa and Calgary. Calgary deserved it ( and actually one it if that goal had been noticed earlier ) Hopefully luck is on canadas side fo the border this time around!

Here's someone I can agree with! I have no desire to see Edmonton win. I would be much happier if an American team won, and Carolina has fought through adversity all season long. Not taking anything away from Edmonton, but Carolina also was not supposed to make the playoffs and here they are in the finals. So I'm hoping they knock off Edmonton, and if tonight's game was any indication, The Canes should win this series.

Jedah....you are certainly entitled to your opinion...no doubt...but I have to tell you, you are a brave man. No love for the Canes on this board.

Power, it's a long story that I would rather not get into. But let's just say I'm a very pro-American person to say the least. It's nothing against the Oilers because they're no doubt my 2nd favorite Canadian team.

Also, if Carolina won the cup, think about what it might do for hockey in the Southeast. Tampa had record attendance this year if I'm not mistaken. I would love to see a team like Carolina win the cup and get their fans really into hockey.

MC, it's not a matter of who's right and who's wrong, as you may like to think. I'm entitled to my opinion just as you are. I'm not looking to start another fight here, so just hear me out. You can cheer for Edmonton if you want. They're a great team, have fought every game of these playoffs and have truly earned the right to be where they are. But so has Carolina. Down 3-0 last night and they came back. That really says a lot about their character. And who could possibly dislike Cam Ward? That man was brilliant last night, as he has been all playoffs!

As for Carolina winning by simply injuring the other team, it's blown way out of proportion. I don't want to have this fight again, but seriously, they're not a dirty team that picks their targets and goes after the best player every game. I don't think it makes me any less of a Habs fan if I want the "other guys" to win when they're not playing the Habs. Think about it this way: we all like the Habs as our number 1 team. But we all like other teams after that, making for some good discussion. I have every right to like whomever I choose to like, and I don't appreciate being told I shouldn't.

I have no interest in fighting with you..... I never have, it's just not that important to me. You can take the thought out of your head that I do 'cause it just isn't so.

& Where in my statement does it say that Jedah shouldn't like the Canes????? I didn't address you at all. I made general comments about a team that many others agree with. This was not a post that was speaking directly to you. You feel the Canes aren't a dirty team & you want to cheer 'em on.... that's your business so go nuts..... Who you cheer for doesn't affect me in the least.

The only thing I find to admire about Carolina is their coaching. They're a bunch of role players that have been melded together into a team -- a lot of moving parts that have been bolted together to make up a solid whole. That's admirable -- and in the days of salary caps, more and more it will be the way teams win, I think.

But to like the Carolina players themselves? NFW. Sure, a couple of them have skill -- and both Ward and Gerber have had moments of brilliance in net. But their style of play is nauseating at times, and as for class, they have exactly none.

I've been to games in Carolina and there's not a lot of class in the bleachers, either. If you could hear some of the comments aimed at Habs players by the Canes fans, you wouldn't want them to win a Dixie Cup, much less Lord Stanley's.

Even though i HATE the canes....i still like a few players on that team...Namely Recchi....( im crying inside..) And Cam Ward has gained himself a spot on my like list. This guy is REALLY good ... and has a great attitude, always smiling and is definately a team guy. But i could care less about guys like Williams and Cole....
