Okay, so I did so well with the Buffalo/Caroline series (not) thought I'd give it another shot and go for Oilers in 7.

Guess I'm a Pollyanna but I think Buffalo would have won if..........

Any takers?

Should be a close series.  But home ice will be huge, and experience will help the 'canes.  I say Carolina in 6.

I agree with Nil. Carolina in 6. The 'Canes are just too big and strong for the Oilers to handle. Plus the huge layoff will hurt Edmonton a lot more than it will help them.

Go Hurricanes!!

Surprised you didn't say Oilers in 5 lol (or are you hoping they don't win it in 5 'cause you could've been there?)

Canes in 6. Canes have too much experience and every bit as much speed as the Oil. (Buffalo has a faster team than Edmonton and Carolina had no problem skating with them). Roloson is due to fall on his face and unlike Carolina, Edmonton does not have 2 interchangeable goalies. I say that the glass sliiper will fall off Cinderella's foot.

Has the Stanley Cup ever been won in a Game 7 OT?

Wouldn't that be a pressure-packed OT?!

I say OILERS in 6, Pronger will control Brindamour or Stall hands down. No way that they will be in Roloson's face like they were in Huet's. Oilers forwards will pound Canes defense(their weak link).

Speed over size for sure...but remember, Carolina isnt a very BIG team ( Montreal actually beat them in the size department believe it or not ) If Edmonton can control the faceoffs ( which is a HUGE part of Carolina's game ) they will take away their powerplay and puck control. Roloson must stay strong and the Edmonton defense cant fall apart. Smith and Pronger will be carrying the majority of the load, and they can definately handle it, i havent seen Pronger look this good EVER!

Also, i dont think the 9 day lay off is anything people are makingit to be. Lowe and Mctavish havent made it paradise for Edmonton this past week, and to be honest, players have been actually welcoming the first game so get away from the schedual they are on right now. Edmonton WILL be ready!

With Rollie's injury, I'm revising to Carolina in 5, and possibly, but hopefully not a sweep

Mr. Wind, can you please contact the sails department, you're sorely needed...

Yup, this one is over. Carolina=Cup. And for some reason I just knew he would get injured... just one of those bad feelings come true.
