The play of 'Beef' Bouillon was easily one of the best surprises of last season!
And-o would have Gainey checked for a pulse if he doesn't at least try to get a fair deal done with this guy!!! In fact, And-o would attempt to sign Bouillon before Huet...just because this kid has truly paid his dues in the Habs system!
no way can gainey get rid of him. i think he is one of the most underrated defenseman in the league especially for his size. i think aside for markov he is our second best defenseman. he may not score many points but no one can get around him. for his size he hits and plays like he is 6 feet 5 inches 230 pounds. this guy plays with heart and balls. he is a better defensive defenseman than souray. he is a keeper. letting him go would be a mistake.
Wow Bouillon won't ask for much either. No brainer keep him. He's worth a lot and I think any team would pick him up. He still has a load of potential.
The problem will be wether he likes what he is being offered and will he think he can get more elsewhere. I guess we will see how much he really enjoys playing for the Habs.
He better stay.,....the guy is a little spark plug, and his size does NOT effect his game one bit. He's taken down the biggest and the best in the game and he is a great defensman who can move the puck out of the zone by himself...especially with that speed!
KEEP HIM!

I agree with everyone - keep him at all costs! Pound for pound the best Hab, and my favourite player at the moment (Johab knows the reason for my affinity for the Cube).

He is one of my favorites to watch. I love his smooth skating, hard hitting style. I hope we keep him, but we do need to bring in help on the blue line. Jay McKee would look great as a Hab.
Komi stays, the second half of last year, with Gainey's confidence, Komi was turning into a really good defenseman, using his size, shooting the puck...this guy is finally starting to look like the guy Savard saw 5 years ago. Rivet has to stay also, he is solid and plays the game well. Id say streit is the odd man out.

Depends on how much money Boullion wants. For 2mill per season i would let him walk, for 1.5 mill i would sign him. You have to be smart in the cap era.

With his too many bad penalties he takes. I take it back, he's solid at home and can be an asset on the pp. I like Rivet but sometimes he gets way too aggressive.
Thats something we need more of! Too often are the habs pushed around because their lack of size or aggressivness! Bouillon is great...but he cannot work the Thorntons, Shannahans, Naslunds, Jagrs and Sundins ALL night. Souray is good, but 1 on 1 he is a pilon, Rivet is probably my favorite defensive defenseman on the habs. The fact that you DONT notice him is REALLY good, it means he plays solid and doesnt make many errors.

My hope is that BG is going to serve up at least 2 solid new blueliners next year, so I don't know where that would leave Cube.
Keep at all costs -- Markov, Souray. Rivet
Fighting for last slot -- Dandenault, Cube, Streit
Streit should go -- and probably will. Dandy played well this year I thought and we need his size and toughness. As for Cube, he's got the biggest heart on the team (tied with Begin) and that's worth a lot. He's also a good skaeter and a good passer. But he's weak in his own end and especially in front of the net where's often outmuscled and outreached -- which is a situation that no team with Cup hopes can tolerate. Sometimes, size does matter...
So much for Streit going, AGAIN, Gainey makes no sense...IM REALLY curious as to how this summer is going to turn out. At least Gainey keeps things interesting by keeping us guessing....
