There's also a rumour that Jessica Alba is coming over with a six pack to work on that sore spot in my lower back, but as yet that's also unsubstantiated

That would be hard to believe even without the six-pack.  (Sort of like the old Wizard of Id cartoon where the lackey runs in shouting "Sire!  Sire!  Bad news!  The royal stables are on fire and wind is blowing towards the castle!"   To which the little king replies "That would be bad news even without the fire.")

Steve Simmons yesterday reported that Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis may be available. Simmons writes "While Tampa Bay management will tell you the Lightning wants to build around Brad Richards, St. Louis and Lecavalier, enough people in the hockey wilderness will say the opposite -- that Lecavalier and St. Louis are available, and in the case of St. Louis, affordable. Stay tuned on this one."


 


This is the one rumor over at Spector that caught my attention. Whether or not it's true remains to be seen but LeCavalier sure would look nice in a Habs jersey......


 


Then down below this rumor there was also one stating that the Habs and Bolts might already be in discussions over Aebischer. I can think of a couple guys we could package up with Aebischer to trade for Lecavalier......

I really don't believe that Lecavalier is going anywhere and not with his current salary.  He is the face of that franchise.  St. Louis is another matter, but I don't think we need another undersized and underporducing French Canadian player.
