Any predictions for tomorrow's game?  I would like to see Buffalo win, but Carolina probably has the advantage.....but who knows?  Interesting that this series has gone to seven games.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict a Buffalo win but there is no way I am going to try and predict a score. A betting man or woman might put money on a one goal game though.... In my estimation Buffalo is probably the hardest working team left in the playoffs and a Buffalo/Edmonton series would be a good one.

I'm rooting for Buffalo, but I will predict, sadly, Carolina 3-2 - Stillman in OT.

I predict that once again, Lindy Ruff will open his mouth and make himself look like an idiot for the 200,077 time. This guy can coach. But is anyone else getting tired of his act off the ice? Aftre beating carolina he goes to the press conference and calls Carolina arrogant because he "heard they had the champagne on ice". What is "arrogant" about that?!?? They were hoping to wrap it up Tuesday just as Buffalo was hoping to extend it another game. Follow any sport , baseball, basketball, etc. Any time a team is in position to clinch a championship they have the dressingroom prepared (who wants to drink warm champagne?!??). I understand what he is trying to do. He is trying to motivate his players. But if facing elimination and going home to play golf is not motivation enough I do not know what is.

But the icing on the cake was Ruff claiming that Laviolette was "whining about the officials". HUH?!? Look in the dictionary under "pot calling kettle black" and you should see Ruff's name next to it. Who does more whining than Lindy Ruff about officiating?!?? TH OT loss in Carolina Ruff whined and complained to anyone who would listen about the OT call that cost them the game. But when Buffalo gets the benefit of a PP goal the next game in Overtime and Laviolette complains about it, he is a "Whiner"? If you live in a glass house buddy, put the stones away.

Gonna say Carolina, for two reasons home ice and two the Sabres blue line is pretty banged up.  If Carolina, does go onto to the cup and does win the whole thing, that would mark the last two years that the Habs have lost to the eventual Stanley cup winner.  I know it would be alot better winning the cup, but to lose out to the eventual cup winner is saying something.

Jay Mckee is out for tonite with an infection in his leg....given the fact that Teppo and anyone else resembling an NHL defenceman is out of the Sabres lineup, this puts the nail in the Sabres coffin I am afraid. When habs castoff Rory Fitzpatrick is your top dman..to quote Normie.."nuff said".

Toni Lydman and Brian Campbell must come up huge for the Sabres to have any chance.  30-35 minutes each for the only two real NHL Dmen on the roster.  Tough to win when your top 4 dmen are all in the pressbox.  Rory Fitzpatrick will be the number 3 guy (number 7 all year in Buffalo).  Jillson, Janek, and Nathan Paetche will alll play tonight also (all 3 spent most of the season in the AHL.)

2-1 Buffalo after 2.  Replacements looking good.  Hecht scores with three seconds remaining.  Like Goerge Costanza says, that's gotta hurt...........

Go Swords!

I'm sad to see Buffalo out.... but the Oilers Cup win will be that much sweeter against the Canes.

What a game! I respect Carolina, great team, great work ethic. I like a group of deserving vets. getting it done (Brind"Amour 9 goals, Weight, Whitney, Stillman). I am still going for Edmonton but I really like Carolina now, they've got a great winning team. That's 2 out of 4 years to the stanley cup finals not too bad at all!
Imagine if they had +Cole.

I hope that each and every habs player watched that game last night because Buffalo gave a lesson in hard work and sacrifice. We can sit and talk about the big center that Montreal is missing. We can talk about another dman. The difference between carolina, Edmonton, and Montreal right now is HEART and TEAM CHEMISTRY. These teams have it, Montreal needs a transplant. For Buffalo to go out there with what they had last night and make a game of it shows what they are made of. I highly doubt that the present team of Habs we have would have put out like that. Sorry to say it but I call a spade a spade. The difference between these teams and Montreal, aside from one or 2 players is heart, hustle and desire. Hopefully the new coaches can instill that in a hurry. And by the way, is there a better leader and captain in the NHL right now than Rod Brindamour?

I think you hit the nail right on the head with that statement Barry. Brind'Amour is probably the last player left in the league right now that resembles Doug Gilmour in heart and work ethic. I hate to say it because he retired a Maple Laff but I sure do miss Gilmour......

I'll take Pronger and Samsonov, if we get two of them to even up the comparison
