Johab; I've noticed your signature line "My Grandfather says " Variety is the spice of life "......... He says that EVERY....SINGLE....DAY!!!" and was wondering where that came from.

Last night I was watching some comedian on the Comedy channel (a tallish woman with curly hair), and she said that one (although she replaced the word "SINGLE" with "F***ing").

Is she stealing lines from you?!

LOL... I hear ya!!!

I'm known around here as "The funniest girl alive". (not that I claim to be LOL)

I watch everything funny. I'm always laughing. I'm always smiling. I'm (usually) always positive. I'm always joking.... I love to surround myself with happiness all the time. (i.e. I'm 29 & still watch cartoons) & I love to be the "jokester" in front of a large group. (the more people there are, the more I feed off their laughter) My TV is always on the Comedy network (I do plagiarize if it's really funny too Johab)... I also love to watch stand up comedy shows (live or on TV) .... When I type I use LOL or or a lot.

Also, I love Jim Carrey, only those who really love comedy can appreciate him on a higher level.

Johab has GOT to be one of the biggest comedy buffs on this site. Id gladly go up against you MC Girl to see who the bigger comedy freak is...haha. I too feed off larger crowds, i LOVE being the center of attention, im a huge prankster, i come up with some of the funniest things around, i can turn ANY situation into a fun one. It keeps me occupied. Brooky mentioned the Daily Show. I LOVE THE SHOW...infact Jon Stewart is listed as one of my hero's in the yearbook. HE has probably the best job out there in my opinion. I love sports and all...but im MUCH better in the comedy section.

To those of you who do watch alot of comedy, if you have a chance...dont miss guys like Dane Cook, Mitch Hedberg ( R.I.P. Bud.... )  and Russel Peters....these three are hilarious!!!

ALSO...if you havent yet seen these stand up acts be SURE to watch them... Robin Williams on Broadway, Eddie Murphy's Delerious and Eddie Murphy Raw ( delerious #2 really) Blue Collar Comedy Tour 1 and 2 JErry Seinfeld on Broadway- Im Telling You for the last time. ALL are hilarious and i guarentee you will be hurting by the end.

MC Girl, you also share another interest in Jim Carrey. The guy has been a HUGE idol of mine since i was a kid. People have told me i am his comedic mirror image. I can do ANY of his parts and you'd swear to god it was actually him. His movies are the best  Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura, The Mask, Cable Guy, Bruce Almighty, all comedy classics. And what makes him even more special is he can play serious parts REALLY well too. The Truman Show is one of my all time favorite movies.

Sounds to me like you are my mirror also.

All the above movies/shows/routines you have mentioned we have on DVD. I LOVE the Truman show... He played a great comedy/dramatic lead in that movie. I have his very first movie too  (Copper Mountain ~ A club med experience, let me know if you want a copy) & am a huge fan of Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind (his "not so funny" movie) He's the best. In my highschool years I was just like him. I had teachers that literally told me "If you can make it through the whole class without interrupting the class with your antics... I'll give you 15mins at the end of each class to go nuts.... & I used every second allotted to me. (she signed my year book with a lecture telling me I was lucky to have a teacher like her that would allow my comedy to blossom.... then how having me in her class kept her young & happy.... I miss her)

Not that I'm trying to "out funny" you.... I'm sure we are in the same league.... you hold the "funniest male"... I'll hold the "funniest female". I would like to make it to Montreal for the Just for Laughs comedy festival too. That would be a blast.

I could type for hours about this stuff.... I'll spare you the agony LOL.... unless I'm provoked too

How about seeing Weird Al walk into a restaurant, very drunk or high on something, with three extreme bimbo-types on his arm (also out of their minds, loud, giggling), sit down, be extremely rude and aggressive with the staff, and bossing around the girls with him too, acting like he was king of the world?

We're talking at least 15 years after "Like a Surgeon" and "Eat It"....

Yeah... I'm not a fan of the actual person..... I love his music & his sense of humour... all that was left back in the 80's

Might I recommend a vintage comedy album - Robert Klein's "Child of the 50s"? And of course from the late 70s Steve Martin's "Wild & Crazy Guy". I gave my cat a bath the other day...
