Carbo has stated that next season he wants his team to have an aggressive style of play. He also will work only with players who "give it" come game time. I think the message is pretty clear and I think that many teams realize how far you can go with a style like Buffalo has - aggressive all the time.
I'm just wondering how players like Ribeiro, Ryder, and several others are going to play that style game in, game out...

Carbo needs to coach like he played the game..and expect no less from his players..and if he does that the habs will be fine. CJ tried to do that with several players before moving on, however the huge difference is that the players did not sense that he had the backing of Gainey. The players know that Carbo has the backing of BG and it will either be his way or the highway. I expect a few passengers to be hitchiking.

By "several others", you mean Kovalev, Komisarek, Bulis, Zednik, Souray, Markov, Dandenault, Perezhogin, yes even Koivu (to a lesser extent)....in other words, practically the whole team!
Hate to be negative, but how many of the Habs bust their butts every single night? Well, there's Begin, Bouillon, usually Koivu, ..........and.........and...and.............

Exactly Nil...the core of the team just doesn't have that aggressive style of play. Yes, we can add a couple of rookies but that doesn't assure that they have that style neither. I hope Carbo realizes that he has to find a balance and not expect to suddenly become the Buffalo Sabres.
