Mrs. Hab, you are so sweet. Chronologically, I'm 49 and knocking on the door of 50. Physically, I'm about 42. Mentally........well, that's another story.

As for the question of who looks least like the mental image, I will plead the Fifth on that one. I refuse to answer on the grounds that it may incriminate me. (But Brooky was one of them. )

Here's an interesting photo taken yesterday by my brother-in-law at his summer home on Saint Margaret's Bay near Halifax (across the bay from Peggy's Cove). The doe was on his lawn, and he snapped the picture through the screen of his porch.

The deer has been coming to their land all spring - usually with three little spotted ones in tow. They actually get annoyed at them because they chew on their well-manicured shrubbery.

I have been to the "right" coast (as opposed to left, not wrong) of this country, and I can say that while BC and NS look nothing alike (except maybe the Okanagan and Annapolis Valleys), Halifax looks like a mini Vancouver - minus the mountains in the background.

Well, we have lots of grass and trees over here (along with beaches, water, rolling hills....) but tons of greedy construction developers as well, sadly, mainly in the Halifax metro area.
