Awwww..... I've heard he's like that. I miss him in a Habs jersey. Still got our Gilmour jersey up on the wall. I know he retired as Leaf & all, he stood in at an important time for us & did a great job @ it.(anyone else going to the Leafs would be pulled down & re-lettered by now)

I figured we had seen enough of the ugly hockey players...here is the future Mrs. Barry33. Now keep in mind in this pic that she is a good old Maritime gal and the empty beer in front of her was probably number 6 on the evening...but I love her

Congrats Barry and Mrs!  She's stunning!

Saku, I too met Dougie G.  I actually put on a pair of his game-worn gloves (big mistake, hockey players are stinky!)    He is a sweetie.  I'll forgive him for retiring a Laff...

You can say that again!!!! I have tried everything to get the smell out... even sent all his gear to be professionally cleaned with no success. We've learn that if the smell gets too bad... BUY NEW GLOVES!

Actually..it is not the worst smelling piece of equipment....however this is a family show And by the way..you have never smelled hockey equipment until you have smelled GOALIE equipment (especially that worn by an overweight and out of shape oldtimer who sweats just putting the stuff on). It is impossible to clean or wash..and it just reaks. I am considering renting mine out to put on the wharf in Halifax to scare off the seagulls.

I have a trick for all. Buy a dehumidifier and place the gloves in front of it after each game (make sure it's on of course). Not sure if this works for old stinky gloves but it works for new ones. I've had my latest pair for over 2 years and no smell at all.

I used to put all my gear in the dryer immediately after each game (except that which went in the washer first).  Not skates or helmet, of course, but everything else.  My kit bag is now stowed away under the stairs, but it has no smell at all.

A hockey dressing room after a game has a smell that is a force greater than the Atomic Bomb!  It's BBO, to quote Jerry Seinfeld.

My way of dealing with it now is.... (his gloves are fairly new & this seems to be working)

He gives the gloves to our daughter & she goes in the washroom @ the rink with her friend (she always brings one) & they each hold a glove under the hand dryers until he's ready to go. (He is always the last one outta the changeroom) They get them fairly dry that way.

It was the biggest thrill I have ever had. The only other thing that compares was seeing Dale Earnhardt win the Daytona 500 in 1998. Let me just say that I still greatly miss the old Forum. There isn't now and never will be another sporting venue that had it's atmosphere and class...

Who is the guy sitting on the centre line with the black pants and white sneakers?  It looks just like Bobby Smith, but he was in Minnesota that year (his final one)?

Whoa Breezer's a beast lol, so big ........Oh and I met Dougy too, what a true hockey player, great heart, he does not get caught up in the fame and become an @$$ like most hockey players. Another great individual he reminds me of is Saks.

Well......believe me when I say that if I could bring them I sure as heck would but the problem is that I would have to fly to Florida and find them. That picture was taken in the Skoal tent outside of Turn 4 at Daytona International Speedway. They sure were a friendly bunch. I can attest to that......

Oh yeah......It's Peart but I sure was feeling perky when that picture was taken. Or maybe it was frisky instead of perky. I can't remember which.........

You  know.....now that I look at it again I am thinking that the guy you are asking about was a member of the training or equipment staff. I recognize Eddie Palchak, the old equipment manager, standing in the second row on the right side and he is dressed the same way. That is just a guess though...

It looks like Patrick is asking him what the heck he is doing in the front row! That was my first and only Cup as a Habs fan... time to win another!
