Seems he's been playing so good for so long, he shuld be 40 by now... Wonder if there's a way to convince him to end his career with Papa taking his picture more often?
Only 33? Seems like he's been around forever! The way goalies seem to play until 40 or so, he could be here for another 8 years. Wow! A future Hall of Famer for sure.

I am still shocked. The Devils should be a contender for the next few years too. That is still amazing. It would be like finding out Stevie Y is only 33.
I'm really surprised as well, I always considered Marty to be a conteporary of Patrick Roy, and he'll be 41 this October. He's such an iron man that there's no reason to think he won't play 8-10 more years...man he'd look good playing for his hometown team!

I went out to the Meadowlands (hint: there's no meadow out there, and the only land is landfill) to see him his first year, and I couldn't believe how mature his play was. I think it was only about 2 years later that everyone knew how great he was...
I just fear that someone with that sort of consistency and that many cups is never going to get the credit he deserves because he's quiet and non-flashy

Marty gets all the credit due and will be a hall of famer. If it wasn't for Roy, he'd be regarded as the best goalie in the last 20 years...as it is, he still has a lot of time to catch some of Patty's records.
Sheesh Brooky, you're just never going to let me live down that drunken "Shores" thing are you
