I love the trade for brad richards...great way to unload a barrel of stiffs

i think brad richards is exactly what the habs need

but i think it will take a lot more than the garbage u offered ribs,zednik,and aebischer

i would dangle a goalie price or danis and perezhogin maybe with a package of ribs ,zednik

to get richards u have to give up some young talent

I suppose you are right,...Aebi is exactly what Tampa needs tho a proven goalie...I think he would do well there. Ribs to replace some of the playmaking you lose when you get rid of Richards. and Zed for some of the scoring...you have to understand Richards is a group 2 free agent - ie. restricted...we can't trade the house for a guy we still need to sign.

But Perezhogin in my mind is the second coming of Bulis...hands of stone...i hope i am wrong.

i think pleks,higgins ,komi,latendresee are the only untouchable youngsters

if u really look at this team the habs can afford to move one of the 2 goalies,perezhogin,kostitsyn especially for a brad richards type player

Nah Kostitsyn and Kostitsyn Jr...are untouchables too....Maybe move Danis in the deal...I don't know but I am pretty sure TB are looking for goaltending and D....

Maybe we should send Rivet (his trade value is high after career season) or Dandy their way. I think you have to keep Komocop, Markov, Souray, and Bouillon. Only problem is Habs don't have much depth on D and prospects like O'Byrne and Emelin are a couple of years away.

It could be solved if they sign a free agent D man or two like Willie Mitchell, Jovocop, Pavel Kubina...

Imagine JOVOCOP KOMOCOP MARKY MARKOV AND SHELLY TOGETHER?? What a top 4 that would be!

im thinking tampa is looking to get rid of richards salary

so i going to assume they are looking for young talent

thats why i dont think tampa would want rivet,aebischer,zednik

Tampa is still a good team that is missing some pieces...they still have Boyle, Lecavalier, St.Louis, Prospal, Modin, etc. I don't think they will moving to a major youth movement they are just looking to solidify their back end but can't do that with the high salary Richards will command.

Especially since they handicapped themselves with the large amounts they gave Lecavalier and St.Louis.

They are going to need to spend on D and goaltending thats why I think they would listen to this type of offer from habs...We could throw in this year's first rounder...

Nice trade man for Richards. I really hope we can get him, he's a winner, scores big goals and he's tough and averages a point per game and one of the best playmakers in hockey, oh and he shoots like 8 sog per game

I also like Dumont because we know that being from Quebec, he will give it 110% and play his as* off and be proud of wearing the CH. Hmm maybe Morozov anyone have his stats from whatever league he was in this year ??
