Journalists asked Gainey about Kovalev and he quickly shifted the topic to his linemates saying that Bulis and Ribeiro should look at themselves in the mirror. More mind games from Gainey? You never know from this man...


Ribs, who didn't know about Gainey's comments until his interview, defended his linemates by saying that they created several scoring opps in the last game and they played well defensively...


I agree Ribs but maybe you should really look in the mirror and ask yourself if scoring chances is enough...you need to score. In any case, overall Ribs has played well but but well isn't good enough if they want to take the series.

Gainey needs to focus his "mind games" on the referees. The guy stands back there and shows about as much emotion as a funeral director who has just conducted his 7th burial of the day. Carolina continues to run over Huet like he was a dead skunk on the TCH and Gainey just stands there silent. I truly believe that a coach should not be a rant and rave type of guy..but geesh the team could really use an infusion of emotion from the coach.

LAst time we had a rant from a coach against Carolina, it spelt the end of our teams run in the playoffs...KERRY FRASER MUST DIE!....or at least cut the rug on his head....

As much respect as I have for Gainey, I agree it's time to looooooooose it on a ref.  Brind'amour and company continue to stand in the crease and nothing is done of it.  Williams again in open ice high sticks Markov and another no call.  It's time for Mr. Gainey to open the door of the bench and lose a gasket.......it's well overdue.  PS........how about sending someone to the front of their net tonight??!!

At the very least... Bob could turn red.


He doesn't even have the ability to show emotion that can't be controlled. No red face, no twitch, no sweating, no nothing. Does he take a valium before each game? I wish I had a poker face like him.... I'd be winning millions on Saturday nights

 agree, ribs can't seem to know what a net looks like, someone told him that if you shoot at the boards enough then your name will appear there, that meshy thing is only there to stop you from hitting the boards!!

I not sure if we can score goals when the bulk of the good shots taken come from defenseman....easpecially when we don't seem like the kind of team who has players who'll plant there skates in the ice in front of the oppossing goaltender for screens or tips.
