Habs played better tonight than the other night, but still took WAY TOO LONG to wake up. Can't start games like that and expect to win. By the way, I'm not buying the whole argument that goaltending is the only reason we're in this series. We have been outgoaltended since Ward took Gerber's place, and that's with Huet playing well. Goaltending has NOT been the difference for us. The only game that was decided by goaltending was game 3, which went against us. 'Canes have made me hate them with unsportsmanlike crap.

Never did like the canes even when they were the whalers. Now even despise them more. At least Buillion is smoking Recchi every chance he gets. Nice payback for Recchi not wanting to resign with Montreal and runnng back to the Flyers.

Does Buillion have something against Recchi?

Heading into this series I was worioed about playing the Canes at even strength.  I was wrong.  it's their special teams that have killed the Canadiens.   Again tonight, their two goals were on Power Plays.

Never mind the Canes PP, our PP was so brutal that Gainey should be lobbying to decline power plays!!! The 1st Canes PP was screened by 4 players...and it looked like 3 of them were Habs!!!

Guys, I was at the game.  Indeed it is a major no-no, but I was at that game.  Don't get me wrong, I'd be pissed too!  But I gotta tell ya, the RBC is so loud it is easy to miss a whistle at times...happened on couple of offsides calls too, one for each team, with play continuing after a linesman's whistle...

Great game! Even though my 'Canes are up 3-2, the series is still up for grabs.  Both netminders are playing great!  Whoever comes out of this series is going to give their opponent some hell!

Good luck in Game 6 all.

Hey that's a pretty good post from a guy who seemed like Justin Williams' "nephew" in his last ones. Glad to see there are some solid hockey fans in Carolina.

It was intentional twice and may have been accidental once. It's neither here nor there, but it shows a lack of character by the players who did it as well as the Habs for not kicking the crap out of them for a major hockey ettiquite breach. Huet was pissed, and I can tell you, as a goalie I would have taken matters in to my own hands after the third one, then singlehandedly killed the penalty!
