I wonder which Habs player Justin Williams is going to high stick in this game???? if I was a betting man I would put my money on either Kovalev, Ryder, or Higgins.

The boys really need to get bodies and pucks on net. If they do that and score more than the Canes, I say they'll win this one.

You got it AB, getting really familiar with Cam Ward should be every Habs forwards prime objective tomight. Creat traffic and make the rook work at finding the puck...the odd bump or slew foot couldn't hurt either

If with you too AB.  With Begin back, its time to get dirty but stay focused and disaplined. Take it to the canes. Make them think twice before entering the zone. Make them fight in the corners. MAke facing the puck hell for Ward. The guy isnt a good goalie, he is behind a confident team right now. IF we can shut them down this game and get the win. We go back home to a hungry montreal crowd. As Larry the Cable Guy would say.... GET-ER-DONE!

Souray must shoot - not 1 slapper and 12 wristers - 12 slappers and 1 wrister.

His slappers are breakin' a lot of sticks lately though... then we are left with a stickless defensive player & have been scored on because of it. I think he needs a better stick. One that can handle his wrath.

AB Hab, an excellent overview, even if it is a simple one. But take it one step further and let's hope every able-bodied Hab, especially the D-men has the same "balles" as Bouillon did the other night and makes every 'Cane player think twice about coming into the Habs zone. Size 'em up and take 'em down the way he did Recchi - and almost got Williams (grrrrrr), as well. Get physical at both ends of the ice, make them pay the legitimate way, show them the abyss, and then throw them into it! Kharma is with the Habs - the 'Canes must lose. GO HABS GO!!!

the habs have done what i feared the most since the koivu injury. which is just played like gentlemen. Besides Dandy stepping up with some physicality last game they played like a bunch of grand mothers. I was hoping they would rally and play the same kind of game as they did when Maclaren took out zednik. With 12 goals in two games with Koivu and 3 in 1.5 without him i guess this goes to show how big a part the captain is to this team. Ryder and Higgins havent had any impact since he's been put out. For some reason i find it hard to believe that Cam Ward is this good. However i also didnt believe that Rod Brind'Amor would single handedly ruin our defence. That goal in the third peroid of game three to tie it at one seems to have really sunk our habs.

I predicted yesterday that this series is essentially over. I will modify that to say that it is over if we continue to play with the lack of enthusiasm and work ethic that we showed Friday. One thing that is very clearl. Carolina has a much more talented and deep team top to bottom. In order to be successful in that situation you cannot ever be outworked and outmuscled.Montreal was badly outworked Friday night and it showed. Let us not kid ourselves. This is the KEY game of the series. Team that wins tonite wins the series. If Montreal cannot show up for this game then it is clear. What has ailed them earlier in the season has not been fixed yet and more changes need to be made.

Bang on Barry, Exactly right. I mean last years come from behind 3-1 rally was insane. But the habs are not playing the same old choke artist bruins....AND They dont have Theo in net to stop the puck ;) .........just kiddin! GO HUET! GO HABS!

barry, why always so pesimistic....can't you just show some confidence in our boys once in awhile even if you know we are more then likely to lose the series or at least not win the cup....

we battled hard to get to the playoffs and this is the time of year we have all been waiting for.  i enjoy coming on here and reading everyone's posts, lets make the most of it and cheer on the habs because everyone on here knows that we probably do not have the team to take us to the cup this year.

go habs go!!!!!!!!!!!

Thompstar- I am not pessimistic at all..just realistic. All I am saying is that if they come out with the same lack of desire or work ethic they did Friday night they are toast. Yes they battled hard to get to the playoffs which is why it is even more disheartening to see them disappear when they get there. I am a coach. I like the fact that Gainey called out a few players after Fridays game. Maybe that is what they need. GET 'ER DONE BOYS!!!

While it's easy to think Barry is being pessimistic, I actually agree with his post. If they play with as little jump as they did last game, they are done. The need to outwork the Canes and take the momentum back and I beleive that they're capable of doing just that. I only hope that they beleive they're capable of it.

GO HABS GO!!!!

That is key: CONFIDENCE. Their confidence was shot when Koivu went down and the Canes played more physical and got a couple goals from it. Begin should help in that department, but this team needs to not feel sorry for itself, not make excuses, and start getting thier sweaters dirty.

WE CAN DO THIS!

Be sure to watch the first intermission - they'll have a special feature on the French Islands of Saint Pierre & Miquelon.  For anyone who ever wanted to go to France but couldn't afford the airfare, go to SP&M (just off the south coast of Newfoundland) - a great little place, and all huge Habs' fans!

Kerry Fraser is referee. This is not a good sign for the Habs.

First 2 calls against us   whats new   We are being out skated, out fought, out hit and losing the battles in the corners. I guess thats it  Sorry but its my take on it so far. The Canes want it more than we do.

100% correct from what I'm seeing, but lets see if it settles down. The crowd and adreneline are always a factor in the first 10 minutes of a playoff game for the home team.

There is something wrong with Kovy , he is just not himself and that spells trouble for us . I feel bad for Huet because he is playing so well to keep us in the game. The next goal is important  cant go down 2-0
