3.68 and .882.

What are these numbers?  Cam Ward's regular-season stats: 3.68 goal-against average, and .882 save "percentage".  Very modest stats, to be very charitable about it.  They make Jose Theodore's season look good. 3.68 is 46th in the league and .882 is 43rd in the league.  This is out of 30 teams.  Half the backups have better stats than he does!

My point?  The Cam Ward you saw last night was an abberation, not the norm.  He will return to Earth tomorrow night, and the Habs wil fill the net with vulcanized rubber.

You heard it here first.

Go Habs!  Win one for the Koiver!

Remember how Raycroft looked in the first few games last year, very solid. Then the Habs solved him and now he barely plays in the league. Let's see what damage the Habs can cause to Wards confidence.

It'll be the same game plan as vs. Gerber Baby - shoot and score.  Ward wasn't all that great in game 2, he can be beat and will be beat.  As long as we don't panic, we'll be fine.

After last game... the Canes are probably a bit unsure about the game tomorrow. Unsure about what we'll do + unsure how things will be called + unsure about how they'll play + unsure about....well.....everything.

Add it all up, we got a game we can surely win

Nil, I said something similar after game one. I agree, we'll get to him and I agree it will probably be tomorrow night. But this kid was good in junior. As for his season stats, it's tough for a lot of goalies to play well when you're only playing every 4 or 5 games. Now he's got the ball in the playoffs and could seriously be playing for the starting goalie job...that's a great motivator.
