Can you guys/gals remeber the rare occassions when Carbo was injured and wouldn't be in the line up? Carbo always gave that sense of not really sure what it was...maybe security. It feels the same way with the prospect of Saks being out. It just doesn't feel secure without him...Eventhough most of us think he slowed down a step, I can bet the majority of us feel better with him in the line up. I hope this doesn't start another arguement...
Beautiful observation KL - the measure of a man is more than his points - the Habs without Gainey and his 9 goals (last season total I think) were a shaky squad, same with Carbs.
I'm not suggesting Saks has reached that stature - yet. But he's in the ball park.
For all he has done for this team over the years, I truly believe we will now win this series in 5 games. The boys are gonna be flying for the captain on Friday night.
