A First For Many Hab Players

Players in the Habs dressing room are already taking about the welcome they will recieve once they skate on the ice tonight. Ribeiro says that certain players have never experienced the playoff buzz in Montreal like; Pleks, Higs, Crystal Ball, Abby, Dandy, etc...

Ribs sees it as both being an advantage and a disadvantage. A disadvantage because with all those fans going nuts, it's easy to lose focus and try to do too much. It may be more difficult for some to stick to the "game plan". Personnally, this is what I'm a little concerned about.

Everyone is saying that the 3rd game in a series is the most important. Listen, in a playoff, every game is important. Example: If the results were that the games were 1-1 instead of 2-0....and the Habs losoe the third game, it's now 2-1. What game becomes the most important for the Habs, the 4th game. It's all relative...What do you all think?

Great perspective.  When game 2 went to OT, a Montreal win made game 3 the series breaker.  If they'd lost (and series becomes 1-1) then game 4 or 5 become pivitol.  Really, depends on what team you play.  Habs can afford to lose game 3, Carolina must win game 3.  So maybe game 4 is the big game for us.  Anyway, you play each game to win so all games are important.  But I love the theory stuff.

Any predictions for game 3?

Even had we lost this series 4 straight, the experience of the playoffs for these kids is invaluable. They now know what it takes to succeed and how they have tgo turn their game up 20 notches. And because of this, they will all want to work harder next season to have a taste of that playoff pie again
