Bouillon is playing a great game so far. He played a great game last game as well. Heart and effort can do wonders.

Man, that was an ugly one!  And Carolina has been on fire since.  That's all it takes to turn a game around.  Let's hope they can hang in there.

Did Donut koh-arse-ki slip into the game when I wasn't watching?  Those penalties will kill them!  Opening the third down 5 on 3 for a minute or more.  We have to kill this one - then the refs will "owe" us a few calls.

And the penalties keep coming, another 5 on 3.  Period ends which will give the Habs PK a breather and hopefully they can kill off the 2 penalties and get something going in the 3rd.  GO HABS GO.

I said it in game one and it is extremely evident tonite...Montreal has NOT been outplaying C`arolina..the difference has been goaltending. Ward goes in for the Canes, makes some key saves at key times, Huet lets in a softie and gives Carolina a breath and here we are 3-2 with Carolina about to tie it up in the 3rd with a 2 man advantage and clean ice. All Montreal penalties have been deserved. Perezhogan would be so far up in the press box if I was coaching he would need binoculars to see the play.


Best Habs players tonite by far..Bonk (yes Bonk..he has been dominant) and Boillon. Worst players by far Dandeneault (again) and Perezhogan.

The glass in the Hurricanes' arena is something else, isn't it?! They have those big rounded stanchions between the panes, and I've seen quite a few weird bounces so far in the two games. 


If I were firing the puck in the offensive zone, I'd always shoot it in above the boards (and not over the glass, of course: note to the Cube) and hope to catch the goalie wandering out with a bad bounce.

Yikes...after the best first period I ever saw a goalie play, I gotta say, power play or no powerplay, he's let in a couple of Gerberesque goals and I'm starting to glance at Aebischer if I'm Gainey...just a glance mind you . The good news is, if the boys can get their act together now and eke out a win, it will DESTROY the Canes confdence.
