Valid point.

Did anyone else forget just how ugly Rod Brindamour is? When the camera closed in on his face, I am not exagerating, I flinched.

He needs to wear a tinted visor.

His full (birth) name is Doug Harvey

It's clearly states Lord Stanley of Preston.

What can I say... it's a &¤%Q"#% miracle. It will of course be even more of a miracle if we can keep it up!!!

The game in a nutshell:

  • Huet kept the boys in while they were badly outplayed in the first period.
  • Habs got every good bounce in the first two periods.
  • Gerber couldn't stop a proverbial beachball.
  • Habs completely shut the door in the third (and got two iffy goals to boot).

Great game by: Huet, Kovalev, Sundstrom, Bonk, Bouillon & Dandenault.

Not so good: Souray (despite his goal; too weak defensively.  He scares me on the PK.)

I (and others) said they had a chance.  One of the keys was Gerber playing lousy, and Cole missing.  Both were big factors tonight.

Great start!!!!!!!!!!!

One time I saw his upper lip, and the rest of the body came into camera range a minute later........

I thought he was referring to Stephane Richer.  I have no idea what you two are talking about!

Is there some sort of secret code I'm not getting?

The Habs actually won the faceoff battle - 51% overall.  Koivu won 7, lost 8, so he made up ground too.

Great to see them win in this important area.

In fact, in the playoffs, the keys are always goaltending and specialty teams.  The Habs were outshot badly, but were better in goaltending, PP and PK.

Hence the win.

RicherForever's (my brother) actual birth name is Doug Harvey. However, our step father adopted us into his last name (Lamarre) about 16 years ago.

My maiden name was Harvey but I am now married to a Preston

Hope that clears it up

Guys...the mistake by Gainey tonight is not dressing a seventh defensemen.  Not saying that it will cost them the game but will play a factor especially if we have to put up with Downey's lack of skill and smarts. Hopefully, he will dress Sunny rather than Downey to ease the decision to play 6 defensmen.  We need smart play to control the Canes forwards and Sunny is a smarter player than Downey.  Just my two cents!

Sunny dressed and not Downey. Six defenceman, no need for seven on this night.

Gainey is doing ok.

Good stuff! Do you see why I harp on Downey compared to Sunny now? Sunny is more of a complete player than Downey and very smart defensively. Not flashy but smart. In the playoffs, you need that hockey sense rather than shadow boxing.

So it was a secret code of sorts!  I didn't realize RicherForever was your brother.  I know rwp2le is your husband.  Any more family members?

Naaa, just him.

However... there are a few friends of ours that say they're gonna join the forum. It's hard to find a "Habland" in "Leafs / Sabres country" They need their Hab talkin' safe zone too.

Yup. Sunny is needed, especially with Begin out.
