Just a hunch here, but we're gonna lose this one bad.. The boys are not exciting me the way they did near the end of the regular season... I was shocked when Boullion scored It just feels like the Habs don't have "IT" tonite...
I thought they settled down well after the first goal. They outshot the Canes in the last half of the period, and Huet is looking solid. Bonk had a good period, and a nice goal.
Overall, I think a good start for the Boys.

Man this is garbage, wouldn't slashing the goalies hands be more goaltenter interference than simply brushing by him??? I've now counted 4 occurances of blatant goaltender interference on Huet that doughnut boy has missed
These Ref's are pissing me off! We get a penalty for barely touching the pad of Gerber???? Where are our calls for their attempts on Huet???????? The Monkey can officiate better than this. HIGGINS!!!!!!!! 4-1
What was the last good game that Donut Koharski called? I'd say around 1995........

Too much positivity in this thread, so I'm here to kill it...
Habs can't play like this all series. 4 goals on under 20 shots is an anomoly. Will Gerber be this bad for the entire series? I hope so. If he is, the Canes are playing golf soon, but me thinks he won't blow this badly for much longer.
Still, A LOT of positives in this game. Habs killing the penalties very well and Huet showing that his "late-season collapse" was nothing more than the French media trying to create a goaltending controversy.
Everyone looks solid. Kovy chips in, Koivu contributes in ways that won't appear on the boxscore, and Huet shines.
Yup Pablo, we are being outshot badly and can't count on poor goaltending from Carolina the whole series. Let's take it while we can get it and keep a good hold of the lead while we have it.
