i believe so , abby was way out of position on that second goal and was weak allnight , thanks bob you idiot.huet was only in the top 3 in save % and gaa. but we dont need him in the nets in the most important game of the year . i guess that why kipper and brodeur only play 40 games a year so they dont get burnt out .
We lost as a team because the forwards couldn't finish on this night. I counted 6 times, close in that a rebound could of been scored if we had the talent to shelf the puck.
What this does is puts pressure on Huet to win the last game(our clean up man). Also, no rest for the wicked!

You can't generalize with goalies. Huet is a European goalie whose pro career high is 41 games in one season, he'll finish this year with 36. The European leagues typically play about 40 games a season, Huet's Swiss League team was HC Lugano. As near as I can figure, they played 44 games this year. Playing 75 games when you are used to 30-40 your entire career is a HUGE jump. Guys like Broduer have been playing 60-80 games a year since maybe Junior B.
Resting Huet is a good choice, he was looking very tired to me from the big stretch he just played. Hopefully he starts vs Jersey and stands on his head supporting Gainey's decission.
well he'll get alot of rest after tuesday , he was getting enuf rest to play most of the games down the stretch. abby should have only played in back to back situations . huet was in a groove and boob took him out of it by shoving abby down the teams throat.
I understand where you're coming from and I'd really rather Huet played more too...but I'm going to put my faith in Bob on this one, I'd like to believe he knows what he's doing.

Too true. It's hard to say if it was Miller or what (Miller's amazing!), but still...how many guys were robbed? Higgins, Koivu, Souray, Zednik, Ribeiro, Pleks, Kovalev, man, it just goes on....!
Listen...one thing is good. The guys were skating, moving their legs, drawing penalties. Sometimes the puck doesn't go in the net, but at least there's no sign of lack of effort. Look for some luck to go our way in the next game.
I firmly believe that Huet would have made a difference tonight. The team definitely plays better with Huet in the net. However, I also have to believe that maybe Huet has a slight injury and Gainey was resting him to see if the Habs could get the one point they so badly needed. I guess in hind-sight that was not a good move but we still have one chance to rescue the season plus we may have help from other sources.
All we can do now is keep cheering for the Habs, and as much as I hate to have to see another team lose in order to reach the play-offs, I will take that at this point.
The Habs making the play-offs would be terrific but to listen to CBC after Tampa won tonight to eliminate the Laffs is a very close second.... I am puzzled now to see who CBC will cover in the East... every night this season it has been the Laffs whether they were playing in Canada or the US... It will be most interesting.

Um why do you think BG started Abby, Abby's previous 3 games = 3 wins Huet's previous 2 games = 2 losses both by 3 goals. So don't say Huet in gives us a win. Abby was probably besides Plekanec and Kovy the best hab player, he got the 2nd star don't forget. Only goal is where he over commited on Drury's goal but why was there even a shorthanded chance.... Abby's not to blame.

yes huet lossed his last 2 starts but he lost to buffalo with a team that didnt show up and to jersey who are beating everyone right now while abby beat ottawa twice and they cant beat anyone right now and he beat pittsburg barely 6-5 . just look at the numbers , and if you still what to play abby then there could be a job opening in toronto in a few days .
i dont need to put on a leaf jersey but at least pat quinn had enuf smarts to ride a hot goalie when he was hot . you don mess with a good thing , its not every team that takes their best performing player out of the lineup on a regular basis to see how the other guy will do . only boob would be that stupid .
Been bitter long? Don't give Quinn too big a Pat on the back...he stuck with Telqvuist way too long. If he would have switched 2 or 3 games earlier they'd be in the playoffs...woulda coulda shoulda. You totally have missed the fact that Huet could have an injury.
