Actually, had I been thinking Smithers would have been the perfect "guy" to match Ribby...

I just checked NHL.com (Standings)....and all the spots are marked with "x" for clinching a spot. Atlanta has 1 game left and the most they can get is 91 points. Tampa has 92 already with 1 game left and Montreal 93 with 1 game left. Am I reading this wrong (wishful thinking) or NHL.com has made an error?
No, it is correct. Atlanta's loss yesterday meant they can no longer catch neither Tampa nor Montreal. We're both in, Atlanta out.

Given that the NFL playoffs somehow missed the bus to Atlanta this season and the NBA and NCAA tournament don’t figure to be making any connections here, isn’t it nice to know that at least one individual remains confident of a postseason come April?
“We’ll be in the playoffs,” Thrashers general manager Don Waddell said Saturday night.
What? No, “I guarantee,” as punctuation?
“If you want to write ‘guarantee,’ ” Waddell said, “I have no problem with that.”

Oh joy! For once I got it right......now I can enjoy the season last game and wouldn't it be cool to finish it off with a great win?
On a funny note.....Easter Saturday had dinner with my son and his wife and a couple of his friends. He and his friend have been buddies for years with a mostly friendly rivalry. Jay is a Leaf fan (but we love him anyway). The funny thing is that Brad put the Toronto game on for Jay in the computer room and the rest of us got to watch the Habs lose on a 52 inch screen, no less. What a hoot! Ain't hockey grand?
