Unless I am wrong, when I look at the standings It appears Atlanta will be bumping us out of 8th place. They are playing well and will be winning their last two games. Am I wrong ????

So you think we'll lose both games and they'll win their last two?

I said that 2 weeks ago. Huet was playing well  "oh no  we need to rest him for the playoffs"   well guess what ? I do not think we will be in the playoffs And I owe it to our great Bob Gainey

I did not agree with playing Aebischer tonight, but I can't blame him for the loss.  He played very well (except for that stick-throwing brain fart), and was named second star of the game.

But he was outplayed by Miller.  If I'm not mistaken, Miller was first star in the last two losses against Buffalo.

Miller was good in the other game too.

But the difference is that this time the Habs played well enough to win. A couple of costly mistakes did them in, because otherwise they were the better team. Buffalo knows how to grind out the games boy!....Montreal still learning.

Didn't see the game but I understand from Murray Wilson's comments that Aebischer(?) could not be faulted on any of the 3 goals.  The short-handed goal was a back breaker I guess and Miller was great apparently as Habs outshot Sabres 45-30.  Buffalo is playing well and will be very hard to beat by any team.  We will have to pick up the point on Tues. or hope Atl falters.

Let's not give up on our Habs. We still have one game left to write our own story.

TB and Atl can still choke on their games.

Let's not go scapegoat hunting. The team played pretty good for the most part.

Keep the Faith!

Go Habs!

Take a breather reddog. The Habs played well tonight and will make it.

AB if you read this, here's another prediction. The Habs will make the playoffs. If they don't I will take Saku off of my Avator and put Ribs on for 1 month!

Seriously people, RELAX! I gauranteed a despondent hab fan friend several weeks ago, when we were on the outside looking in, that the Habs will make the playoffs and the Leafs will not. Now I rarely go out on a limb and gaurantee these things, I've never doubted it and I will now make the same gaurantee to any of you that need a hand climbing back on the bandwagon...free beer (macneil's buying)

.HUET BROUGHT HABS BACK FROM THE DEAD, BEST AVERAGE SINCE OLYMPIC BREAK, PLAYER OF THE WEEK X 2.  ANY LOGICAL COACH WOULD CONTINUE TO RIDE HIS SUCESS. INSTEAD HIS EGO TELLS HIM "I HAVE TO MAKE MYSELF LOOK SMART BY PLAYING ABBY.

ABBY WAS SHAKY FROM THE START. WHY WOULD YOU PLAY COMPETITION MIND GAMES AT THIS TIME OF THE HEAR. .....

Whoa, relax guys. Let's not jump off the bandwagon just yet.

Habs are hungry and will beat the Devils. I don't care if Brodeur stands on his head, the Habs will find a way to put the puck past him.

They WILL make the post-season.

That's the spirit John but I would prefer a picture of Souray's X-wife in spite of Shelly!

You heard it here first, we will not beat NJ  Sorry for not being positive, but the Big kahuna BG had to show he is still in charge. He had to start Abby  well guess what BOB we sre now out of the playoffs. We cant beat NJ and Atlanta will not lose its last two. I am a realistic Habs fan. Sorry

Actually, I decided to hold big bad John to this since this is an attempt to insult AB.

We'll see if John is a man of his words.

You speak as though the game has already been played. You're not a realistic Habs fan, you're just a pessimist.

Yes, the Devils are favoured and if they do win, so be it. But you act as though the Habs have no chance in hell of winning. Last I checked, this team was on fire and only lost 3 of it's last 13. Against Buffalo, they were clearly the better of the two teams (at least for that contest).

Don't count them out yet.

And we don't have to be tortured with JohnM putting Ribs on his avatar. The thought just about killed me! I would have made mine into Richard Simmons to make the board consistent anyhow!

I just checked NHL.com (Standings)....and all the spots are marked with "x" for clinching a spot.  Atlanta has 1 game left and the most they can get is 91 points.  Tampa has 92 already with 1 game left and Montreal 93 with 1 game left.  Am I reading this wrong (wishful thinking) or NHL.com has made an error?
