abby is not 4-2 as a hab....but still has a 3.50+ GAA. Not what i would like, but he has improved....i still am a little skeptical but he is SLOWLY gaining my confidence. Huet is still my #1 guy. But if Abby can keep this play up, i think a 1-2 tandem for the right price with these two guys shouldnt be too bad.

As for theo, hes played pretty well in Colorado so far, and i wish him sucess in the playoffs, as long as he doesnt win against our habs in the Final...( like thats going to happen this year...)

GO HABS GO

I want Aebischer to do well but I've got to tell you, he still scares me. Too many unpredictable rebounds. Watch Huet play, when he's playing well he's directing the rebounds to the corner or to a D-man. With Aebischer it really seems he's just happy to be stopping the puck and doesn't care where the rebounds go, a goalie can not get away with this for long at the NHL level. I will say he's improving from the first couple of games where I dubbed him Reboundatron...but the potential of every shot being an adventure is still there from what I'm seeing.

Tell you what, I would have bitten anyones nails last night when Abby was in.  But I have more confidence in him that I did in Theo.  I think Abby will look great on the bench during the playoffs, but then again, who would't look good in Huet's gaint shadow?

True, I find I'm also more confident in Aebi. The thing with him is we know exactly what we're getting every night. Yes, he gives off rebounds, but we know he's going to do that. With Theo, some nights he's on fire and the best goalie in the league, while others he's by far the worst. Aebi, while not always consistant, is nowhere near as inconsistant as Theo.

Yes... I agree..... Aeby consistantly leaves me with my hand clutching my heart. LOL

He might make some good saves.... but he does it in such a scary way. When I know ahead of time that Aeby's in net, I skip my cardio exercising for that day. My heart will get a 60 min work out @ game time.

I've always been confident in Abby but Huet does seem to be more orthodox in there and not shaky like Abby gets at times, ugh Huet is better but Gainey looks at it this way. Huet last 2 games 6 goals allowed and 2 losses. Abby last 3 games 7 goals allowed (I think) and 3 WINS.

I think those 2 points Abby cost us in his first game against the Pens is bigger now that we ever thought.  Huet has gotten us this far, Abby has had 3 acceptable games, he has yet to show me anything that says he is a legitimate #1.  Why else would the Avs trade him for a goalie that couldn't stop pee-wee snipers?

Hey man, I was happy when he stopped Rapheal, (the practice crasher) but he did give up the rebound.

I still think we should have signed him, maybe he is that #1 center we are looking for.

He has a right handed shot, so why not?

Maybe we should have signed him to play goal?  At that time I would have taken anyone.

Uh oh check out this quote from The Denver Post today

The Avs' only bright spot was Theodore's play. He looked strong throughout and wasn't much to blame on the screened goal. He finished with 23 saves.

Full Story

So far, Denver is in love with Theo
