Ovechkin and Juneau

Ovechkin just joined the exclusive 100 pt-rookie-season-club.

Hard to believe that, in 92/93, Joe Juneau joined that club!

I always remembered Juneau was once a great player. Unfortunately that wasn't the Juneau we saw in Montreal.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and hypothesize that Ovechkin will have a better career than Juneau...

Ya Montreal tends to make offensive players go defensive, Juneau, Bonk, Sunny, ummm ok hold backs LeClair ( 3 50 goal seasons after he left) umm who else

Juneau wasn't scoring long before he came to Montreal. Bonk can't skate well enough to be an offensive threat anymore. Sunny also stopped scoring a long long time ago, especially after losing Gretzky as his center. Leclair showed what he could do in the 93' play-offs and then we traded him before giving him a scoring role so we could get a scorer in Recchi. I agree, the last trade was awful. But don't tell me those other players stopped scoring when they came to Montreal.

Juneau may have scored 100 his rookie year, but i coulda scored at least 80 if I played wing with Adam Oates and Cam Neely that year.  Neely was unstoppable that season.
