I don't know how Koivu could possibly throw Heatley to the ice with one hand... isn't there a 35-40 pound weight difference?!

Fisher just took the same penalty against Zednik, more obvious than the Koivu call but about the same.

Koivu pushed Heatley to the ice, there was no holding or tripping.

zeddy wasn't drunk was he?     sounds like that power play was kinda a bust though   but at least they are still in the game       they need to keep putting preasure on emery and he'll eventually get tired again

Koharski is just calling every dumb little thing. It's a PP for Montreal, but not deserved.

Koharski may be in trouble tomorrow. He just gave the throat slash jesture to Brian Murray. As we all know, that's a no no in the new NHL. Should be interesting if he gets disciplined, a player would!

Nil was right, this game has pretty much been taken over by Koharski.

Trouble.  Don Koh-arse-ki is reffing. He will dictate the flow of this game.  You heard it here first. Not good.

I'm watching the game on CTV Sportsnet (the Senators' network).  The announcers have spent the whole second period bitching about the poor refereeing, and one of them commented that the game had great flow, but the refs took it away.

I rest my case.

Yep hats off to Nil, Koharski is at his stoogey best. Hey, although I've never been an Aebischer fan, I've got to say he's been rock solid so far this game. I'm not sure what happened on the first goal, at first I thought he just blew it, but it may have been deflected. He's playing above and beyond what you'd expect of a backup...credit given where credit is due.

That doesn't happen every day - thanks for noticing!

How that arsehole Koharski gets to ref big games all the time is beyond me.  He's a local boy (from Dartmouth, NS), but I can't stand the guy.

Well, it's not pretty, but yes, he's stopping them.  As I once said about Ryder's goals, it's not "how?" but "how many?".  The same would apply to Aebischer's saves.

But man he scares me.................

I'll agree with that to a point, Aebischer looks like he's a pretty good positional guy who's struggling a bit. He has an interesting style for sure, but hey, Hasek is regarded as one of the best...and he looks like a ball hockey goalie to me

Great goal by Zed but he paid the price.  That's one the refs could have called.  GO HABS.
