I'm fully confident that Aebischer can dispose of the undermanned Senators. And if Gainey feels he can win, then I trust him.

However, while at the game on Saturday, I couldn't help but notice that during the warmup, Aebischer sure seemed to miss a lot of shots. Huet made many more saves, and so it does make me a little nervous, but I've gotta trust him.

He will dictate the flow of this game.  You heard it here first.

Not good.

abby may have needed a few games to get used to the habs style of play by the D     so maybe hes gettin into that comfort zone    somthing we need from him for the playoffs

Yup, big rebounds and very shaky, then again Emery doesn't look that great either.

The first goal didn't look great plus there was a bad rebound before the goal. What was the controversey on the goal? I can't figure out what RDS is saying

Rivet got beat badly by heatley and Koivu had to take him down...1-1

Nice save by abby, good lateral movement, good read, smothered the rebound. Fingers crossed.

Yes, they look very sloppy and undisciplined in their own end.

Looks like the Habs got too much sleep this weekend. They think they can dipsy doodle like Ottawa can do. It's not gonna happen, play smart boys.

You are correct, this is one of the worst periods I've seen the habs play this year. Dare I say that Aebischer has kept them in the game!

I want to see if the coaches make some adjustments after 1. Habs are playing a very relaxed 4 man box with one guy up high when the puck is in the habs zone and it is soooooooo not working. Cmon Bob and Carbo..the trap is not all things to all people every game!!!!!

Aebischer scares the Hell out of me.  He truly is a reboundatron.  He made some great saves in the first period, but they were mainly the result of being out of position.   He's always on his knees and flopping all over the place.  I don't know what the hell he was thinking on that second Senator goal!  The puck went one way, he went the other and gave Heatley the whole net to shoot at.

Sheesh.  Emery is playing his 23rd straight game (or is it 25?), yet we baby Huet aong.  I say play him every game until golf season.

on the bright side though  we may have 2 good goaltenders for the post season    just hope the habs can get out of these lazy defensive habits  before the playoffs start    or preferably before the second period starts

Agreed.  The defense looked awful that first period!  They must have given the puck away ten times.  RIvet looks asleep.

Zednik looked good on a couple of shifts, however.  Fingers crossed.  Maybe the fire is back......

We are the experts, of course!

By the way, that penalty call on Koivu was awful.  He was covering up for a defensive lapse by his buddy Rivet, and was in great position on his assignment.  He was called for holding - brutal.  Typical Koh-arse-ki...........

I didn't get the holding call, but he did take one hand off the stick and throw the guy to the ice. I'm ok with it being a penalty, but there was no holding at all.
