Figaro, dont let them do that to you.....Just because "they" have over a certain amount of posts they demand respect and think they are on a petistole???? Screw them all. Dont do it Figaro, its only a sign that you let those idiots drive you out!

Johab is right, all things pass and people get over almost anything (or at least they should). I don't know you, but I wouldn't want anyone to leave like this Figaro. I hope you reconsider and stay as a poster, but it's your choice.

Stay and keep posting, this site is about the Habs and needs your input as a poster. Forget what ever else this site has been through over the last several weeks and remember that we are all Habs fans.

And-o, Brook, Figaro et all. Let's keep this a Habs site and watch them go deep into the playoffs.

The politics on this site are bush. Can't we just say what we think without people getting catty at one another? I personally have never had any problems with anyone on here or anything they have said.

It's just a forum for christs sakes!!! Take it for what it is people! If you leave Figaro, you are letting these clowns influence the site.

I gotta agree. I've also noticed that many of the used-to-be regulars have stopped posting as regularly since the cat-fighting started.

I wonder if the problem has to do with the lack of conversation topics since the passing of the trade-deadline and the Habs' good play of late. Since there's not much controversy wrt the Habs, people have resorted to turning on one another.

Hey, I don't think anyone wanted to see you go, just to change the style a little.

I for one wouldn't want to see you go. I never even suggested your status as moderator should be changed. There's no real advantage to having things end this way. I always look forward to your posts and opinions, and would miss them if they went

Also, for the others who want to make a division on this board, sticking out terms like "Clowns" and "Idiots" isn't going to do anything to further a place which flowed as well as it did before all this started. Either make a decision that you want a harmonious board or not.

Just because you want to show support for one issue, doesn't mean you have to put down someone else's in the process

I'm not sure why you're thanking me, but I want to add my name to the list of people who want you to reconsider and stay - as a poster, if not a moderator. I think you were doing a great job of moderating, but certainly as a volunteer "position", you didn't sign up for this much (undeserved) grief. Your posts are also always excellent.

There are bad apples in every barrel, and the opinions of 1% of the GoHabs family should not sway you over the 99% who support you and want you to stay.

This bitching never used to go on? What has happened? Someone stirs the pot and now people are leaving, wanting others removed, etc. etc.

For the record, I'm not making a division, I just think it is time folks just take it easy. It's just a site to post ideas!? I don't get it. 95% of the people on here don't give a damn about the politics of a handful of people, yet everyone has to suffer through the posts calling people out and the protesting. Why don't people who have a problem with someone air out their dirty laundry in private.

Hey Fig. I would suggest that you have over 99% support here. I don't mind some jabs here and there. But some rules are needed to keep everything from spinning down hill.

This is a pretty darn funny place sometimes and it is also a great place to talk about those great habs!! It takes all kinds...some posts are meant to flame and others are just good banter back and forth.

So Fig...don't let them win. its 99-1.

I don´t know about others but this situation left me really bad taste to my mouth. I hope that these members who Figaro mented on his post are very happy now and is posting their thoughts like their life debends on that. This all and for what? 4 closed threads. I just hope that maybe Mario can talk Figaro to come back and take his old job back as Mod.

And-o certainly does not want this outcome! Figaro is as much a part of this forum (and community) as anyone, although And-o is glad to see him gone as 'moderator'.

Perhaps Figaro will come-back after a few games in the proverbial pressbox?!?!? (his call though)

However, as my 'avatar' once said...

by "them" I meant anyone who had taken offence to Figaro and had feuded with him over these issues. I was not around for the politics of all that went on when i was away in Panama, lucky me, for the last couple weeks.

but hey the habs have won 8 in a row since i came back so maybe i shouldn't go away again??

I merely meant to encourage Figaro not to leave as a poster because of something someone else said on this board. I don't know who it was who had the feud with Figaro, and quite frankly I do not care. I do not know the particulars of what happened. I just think Figaro is a good poster who loves the habs as much as we all do and should not leave the board over an issue that has become politically divisive in what should be a "go Habs" family.

As far as him being a moderator goes, I do not stand on either side, i do not know enough about what has happened, nor do i care to, to really take a stand as to how he was doing his "VOLUNTEER" and I stress "VOLUNTEER" because it shows that Figaro is a good man who did this for honest reasons, and with good intentions, no matter what the result of it all is. When someone comes out saying they are leaving the board, i try to stand behind them and say that they should stay at least as far as being a poster is concerned.

I also understand Brooklyn made a similar I'm leaving post at one point while i was away. If i had seen that post i would have told him the exact same thing. Don't leave because leaving only means those people you are at odds with "win". They have forced you to give up something you like doing on the internet and noone should have to do that.

If i provoked further disputes by referring to "they" in my post I am sorry and that was not my intention.

Well, when I posted this mornging, I have to say that I was pretty upset that things on a chat site had gotten to me so bad. Seriously I was in shock that there was so much politiking and that it actually mattered to someone that I be sent to the press box. So let this be the last post on this subject. I can promise you that Mario has 10 times the headache I "caused". Consider this thread closed. After seeing the Habs beat Ottawa and no one to share the joy with, where else could I go. And oh - now I can tell you what I really think.

Well Figaro, I can tell u that about 3 years ago I was so pissed that I too left the board. I was so mad one evening that I decided to take off. I returned about 18 months ago and here I am. We all need to rant our frustrations. Hopefully people on this board will understand when not to cross a certain line. We have a pretty good family here on this board. I will only say that there is no reason for anyone to leave this board due to frustration, I know ,I have been there. Having said that, we are all humans and we are all adults. We will not always agree because if we did I am sure there are people here who would not stay. It would not be any fun if everyone agreed with all of my posts. I think there is one golden rule we all need to follow Never and I mean Never criticize the poster only the post having said all that i will now shut up. I hope this is welcome back Sir

geez i was only away from this board for a month or so i come back and things have gon to very strong oppinions to personal attacks threats and bad mouth tastes. boy things have changed from a few years ago when i first joined this forum i figured things would get better after i unwillingly took a month or so hiatus but i comeback to what appears to be some sorta prison riot? but i hope i cought the end of the mess so we can all just enjoy this brilliant winning streak our boys are on and dun worry figs and all the other mods if it ever comes down to having my threads closed or bein banned im not threatening anyone! i just hope that never happens ...i hope i didn't do anything wrong by replyin to this by the way
