If Habs are......

If Habs are going to or want to get past New Jersey, they'll have to beat them with their two games against them.

I really think it'll come down to the last game of the season against them. Also, I think the top three postions will stay as is. Sens, Canes then Rangers in third spot. That last game will be HUGE! If we lose to New jersey in that last game, we're facing Canes and a bullet because we'll be done in. Frankly I think staying in the seventh position is suicide. We either have to be in 8th or 6th to have a chance. Actually to be honest, Rangers scare me more than Sens. It may be better for us to lose a few and stay in 8th to challenge the Sens.

This all sounds confussing but be careful of how far you move up the ladder at this stage. If we move up, it may be better to be at 5th spot and play Sabres in the first round.

i somewhat agree with you when it comes to the canes...  infact i completly agree with you with that part of the post but the rangers are sporting a rookie goaltender    great in the regular season   but as raycroft showed us 2 years ago   that doesn't mean he'll play as well under the playoff preasure    and  if my memory serves me correctly  haven't we played better against NY than against the sens this year?    but then....   there is the thought of hasek coming back from injury    if they start  him that means he may be rusty as well    and emmery in the playoffs hasn't been seen too much either      sens are also known for choking in the big playoff games    (although lalime or however you spell it had a lot to do with it)   im not sure who i would like to play out of those 2    but im kinda leaning towards the rangers     shut down jagr  and go to town on them

i agree. But if the canes can take over the no.1 spot in the east that would be great as well. In my opinion, i'd want to play the either the Rangers or the Sens, and between those two, i'd much rather play the Rangers, no doubt about it. The Sens havent won 50+ games by luck...THEY ARE SCARY GOOD. so id' rather face Jagr and company due to the fact that if jagr is shut down, the entire Rangers team will be down and out. He acounts 40% or more of that teams point %. So shutting him down, basically takes the key out of the ignition.
