Big game tomorrow boys!
Permalink Closed

We haven't played an elite team in a while.

I'm thinking the boys will get beat by better goaltending without Huet but I do understand the importance of resting him. Do you think Gainey is using Abbi against a team that we may not win anyways? Should he of rested Huet against Boston and used him against Sens?

I think we should use Aebischer when the team is at a hot point like this!

Which team is most likely to score 5 goals on us even with Huet in nets? Ottawa.

Ok then, let's put Aebischer in, give Huet a rest, and take the 5 goals Aebischer will give up anyway. Then see if we can't score 6 on Emery.

Huet did look tired, but I would rather see Danis recalled to give Huet his rest.  If the Pens can score 5 on Abby, how many will the Sens get?  My big fear is that Huet's rest will be short lived.  Gainey is going to have to pull Abby eventually, and the Sens might be the team to make him do it.  But stranger things have happened, and our D has been a lot better.  Maybe Abby will surprise all of us, and turn in a stellar performance.  Lets all hope so, maybe if Abby gets rolling we can win our last 7.

If the Habs win their last seven games, I will post nude photographs of myself eating a hat.

It's just not going to happen, regardless of Abby's performance tomorrow night.

I persnonally don't think so either.  But I am trying to think postively.  My honest opinion is that Abby is going to get shelled tomorrow, and Huet will come in to replace him.  But stranger things have happened.  It seems every time our team is in a playoff race, the old stories about the Habs come out, and how this season is so similar to (insert cup winning year here).  I told my wife today that if the Habs go to the cup finals we are going to Montreal to see at least one game.  I am just hoping that it can happen.  But again, with Abby getting another start, my realistic opinion is we can win 4 or 5 of our last 7.  All wins will come by Huet.

I'm thinking the same thing. Gainey is worried about us getting beat up so why not keep Huet hot and confident and give the game to Abbi.

If we win this game with Abbi, then the Habs are really showing me something.

So true though someone said that Abby always gets the hard games, lol, way to encourage you're pickup Gainey haha...... Poor Abby, he won't get shelled though and pulled, watch...... He's a good goaltender. If you guys don't know who he is besides his few starts with the habs look up his career stats.
