Last time Habs won 7 consecutive games

Back in 2001-02, Canadiens in late March early April put on a streak of 7 straight wins.   Led by strong goaltending.   Hmmm sounds familiar eh?  Theodore went on to win Vezina and MVP that season.

And can someone confirm, wasn;t the 7 win the return of Saku Koivu from cancer rehab?

That was Gilmour and co's team then. Saks was battling cancer and only played the last 3 games of the season.

But I believe that his first game back was the clincher that put the Habs in the playoffs, right?  That was a very emotional game to watch.

I remember the game and it was very emotional but I didn't realize it was a do or die game. I thought they wanted to give Saks a few games before the playoffs started and that they had already clinched.

OK, I didn't realize. What amazes me is how hard the guys played all season long and Gilmour actually fit in well and was well like and respected. Also how great Theo was to get us to the playoffs that season.

As great as he played, I would of gave the hart trophy to Iginla but hey, they were both solid for their respective teams.

Man, where was Theo's head this season????
