How can Ryder let Souray down when Souray decided to drop his gloves(should of waited for Downer to answer the bell) for him and sit for a big chunk of the game. To me it's no coincidence that Ryder had his best game of the season. He had no choice but to play well to show his respect for Souray who's a heck of a leader.

I agree that Ryder had to show Souray his thanks. I was questioning Souray's play a few months ago, but he has really picked it up.  No more so than in the leadership he has shown on that team.  I don't think there is anyone in the dresssing room that doesn't give him respect. He has been playing so much better lately and is one of the few guys who can regularly hit the net with his shot from the point.

Much improved play.

Great leadership.

The defense as a whole has been very solid lately, led by Souray.

Even Streit has been really solid. Breaking up 2 on 1's, making strong lead passes, staying out of the box (for the most part). It will be interesting to see what happens when the Cube returns.

i'm soooooo happy that souray's game has done a 180.....he means a lot to our team as a leader and a player and it definately is contagious around the room.

souray did the right thing last night, but i don't think it mattered if it was ryder, sourey would have done it for any other member on the team and if sourey wasn't on the ice, someone else would have done the same thing. you always protect one of your top players, no matter which team you play on!

Focus and confidence change a lot of things; just ask most of our D. And the Ryder situation had to be handled immediately, so good for Souray.

Its so good to see our guys sticking up for each other.  That is what champions do.  Just look at the protection Huet has, my hat is off to all our guys for this.  Good to see.
