Key lime mentioned it...I mean Ribeiro is just looking stupid out there. Why not put Bulis at center with Kovalev and Zed??? At least one end of the rink would be taken care of...
Then you got: Higg--Koivu--Ryder
Kovalev---Bulis---Zednik( at least defensively capable and you don't lose much)
Begin----Bonk---Murray
Sundstrum---Plek---Downey( some speed withdefense/grit). For a 4th line

Hmm not bad Muller but you would sit out Ribs....and Perezhogin?

Hmmm. I don't know about that Perez guy. At the start of the year I predicted he would be the rookie with the biggest impact...I was wrong.
But I don't see the point in him. If you have two scoring lines...and he is not on them. Then your other two lines should be solid defensively and pretty gritty( he is neither).
Maybe use him as a Russ Courtnall tyoe and throw him on the Bonk line for some breakaway speed threat( if I recall...McPhee---Skrudland---Courtnall).
Then drop Murray down in place of Downey on the fourth...but I think I like the grit both Murray and Downey bring so...
I agree -- I don't see the point in playing Ribs and sitting Bulis. Bulis has better offensive skills, and he backchecks harder. Maybe BG keeps Ribs on the ice just to annoy the opposition.

Haha...he annoys me as well, though!!!
I totally agree with you guys. Bulis is a much better complete player. Bench Ribsy and let Bulis play in his spot, that way the top line chemistry is preserved.

Bulis has better offensive skills? That's going way too far. Bulis is one of the most frustrating offensive players I can remember. You see the potential, but he often just doesn't get it done like he should (or could?). And for Ribeiro, say what you like about every other aspect of him, he doesn't lack offensive skills.
