Good things happen to Habs' fans... and when bad things happen (Roy starring in Colorado) the fates eventually right the wrong - it will happen this year - Habs/Avs Final - Huet carrys Cup, Theo's hair falls out!

And mine would too if that happenned!
Love the optimism, Cleghorn. You must be proud of young Komisarek this morning.

One has to stand up for their teammates, but a 5 min major when the Habs are up by one isn't the best timing. Komi could've dumped him on his a** and taken 2 mins -- but the 5 mins could've really killed Big 'Mo.

I'm not saying I'm proud of Komisarek; I just know how Cleghorn thinks!
But I agree that a goalie needs to be defended when he's run into.

Especially a goalie who MAKES this team the one it is now. God knows we cant like The Reboundatron AKA Johnny 5 be in net every game. 6 goals a game to win for us....happens only onces in a blue moon...or a few for that matter

When I saw it happening live, my first thought was "Right on ... no one touches our goalie!". Then I saw the replay -- which showed incidental contact more than anything -- followed by the 5 min major. I thought: "I wonder if Huet is pleased with Komi now that the Isles can pound shots at him for 5 min." . Not forgetting to mention that the Habs were clinging to a 1 goal lead.
No one can touch a goalie. I agree. But the contact in this case was close to negligible. I dunno. I'm on the fence with this one.
Nil -- I've been really conflicted over this one. When I saw it happening live, my first thought was "Right on ... no one touches our goalie!". I really can't comment on the incident as I didn't see the game. I agree that a goalie must be protected and the message sent that "you don't mess with our goalie". But reasonableness must prevail. It does appear from what I read that komi's reaction was well-intentioned but went too far. Still, better than no reaction!
