Between that and the elbow he threw at Tucker, I would say yes. But it will be worth it.

I'd rather have seen that awesome game tonight & have Kovy out next game, than have Tucker walking around thinking that he's King S***. Kovy straightened it all out for him. Did he break Tucker's nose??? 'cause it looked a little crooked to me when he skated out.

The reason for the fight was that Tucker highsticked Kovalev and it was not called and he shook it off (not like in the Boston series LOL) and when he saw he had a chance for payback he let Tucker have it and if anyone gets suspended it will be Tucker as he started the fight as he went after Kovelev - The only K on The Habs that Tucker did not have a run in with was Saku as Tucker also had something going with Komi as well although that maybe payback for a few hits that Komi filled in Tucker with in an earlier game.......

Quotes taken from Kovalev & Tucker on TSN.ca

"If they let go (Tucker's) shot, I thought I could do the same thing," said Kovalev. "I'm not going to let that go."

"I could have hit him and I didn't," said Tucker.

Hahahahahha Whatever Tucker

Hey guys, I'm new and Kovy didn't instigate the pursuing elbow shot. The league will take that under advisement. Watch maybe even Tucker will be suspended...... And fat irishman Quinn is getting fined for sure

kovalev should be suspended! why didn't he just drop the gloves with tucker after what he felt was an "almost elbow" on him? i'll tell you why...no character like almost every other russian! tucker is no angel...but i guess you all didn't learn anything about the bertuzzi incident. it sounds like you would have all been happy to see tucker with a broken neck and out of hockey. i don't care how much you hate a player (and we all have our players we hate...) stuff like that doesn't belong in hockey. if kovalev feels tucker attempted to injure him he should've attacked him with his fists! gutless...completely gutless!

Almost elbow?  Did you see the welt on his forehead?  I just love the Leafs fans take on how things happen.  Buddy, this is a HABS board, go find a leafs board, oh wait maybe they have all closed.

Wow, I just downloaded the video of this hit, Kovy(the train) fed Tucker what he deserved, this video is worth seeing. Even Bob Cole makes mention about Tucker's attempted elbow on Kovy that missed just before-hand that  went uncalled by the referees. To see the hit go to

Usually when I post on this board I try to be unemotional and as unbiased as possible, but this invasion of a Leaf fan spewing nothing but garbage is the last straw for me. To begin with Tucker is a gutless cheap shot player. Countless times he as deliberately attempted to injure players. How can anyone forget his low bridge hit on Peca a couple of years ago, that almost ended his career.

Tucker is a reflection of the leaf team over the past decade. When playing ability is mediocre, then the Toronto response is to start gooning it up. No surprise that Quinn inserted Domi and Wilm into the lineup last night, after the Canadiens dominated in all facets of the game on Thursday, Quinn's response is to have his goons in the lineup on Saturday, with predictable results. With the game well in hand, what is Tucker in the last two minutes of the game doing, other than attempting to injury Kovalev? As is typical of Tucker he does not target a physical player, because he knows he is going to get his lunch served to him, no the Tucker way is to attack a skill player.

Day in and day out I am subjected to pro leaf bias on national television, in all of the media for that matter. 40 years of futility and over celebration of the most mediocre accomplishments, and now some uninformed leaf fan is showing up on a Habs forum!!! Please go back to Leaf nation and spin doctor all those magnificent leaf accomplishments from the Ballard era to the present, but please do not pollute this forum any longer. Sorry for the rant, but I hit my breaking point.

I'm glad you chose this topic to rant about. You are correct on every point you made in your post. Please contribute more often, as we would love to hear your thoughts.
