Do you guys think BG did a good thing in not letting bulis into tonight's formation again?
With Markov and Rivet not at 100 percent health, and the anticipated Leaf response to Thursday's loss by inbserting Domi and probably Wilm back into the lineup, Gainey probably feels the need to have extra physical force with Simpson in the lineup.
Sitting Bulis again (if he is not in the lineup tonight) may be indicitative of Gainey's longer term plans for Bulis. Bulis is an unrestricted free agent at years end, perhaps Gainey is contemplating not resigning Bulis and utilizing that salary savings elsewhere. Still feel that Bulis shopuld be in the lineup, his speed against a slow team like the Leafs would be an advantage.
I like Bulis, and I hope this is a move to get him on fire again, not to prepare for his departure. He seems to respond well to benchings (or potential benchings, anyway).
I agree with his benching tonight to add more grit. But he has to play tommorow, he has good hands, speed, shot etc... We need more offense tommorow we don't want a repeat of last time.
