Remember, we won, but so did Atlanta, Tampa and the devils got a point. We won against the caps bu then Lost against the isles and that Got a lot of us pissed off. So lets just wait and see how we end this month, than we can start building our hopes up. Remember Even if we win, we have to hope other teams lose. Thats the position we have put ourselves in.

Saku, we were thinking the same at the same time! Read my thread on the concern thing.
I agree with you but tonight was a ship that is at least pointed in the right direction. Let's hope it keeps sailing!
We do have a game in hand on Atlanta though. Realistically, all the habs can do is focus on winning. We're in a mess but if we can win Saturday it'll make things a little easier for us in being able to look up instead of down.

hey saku you right i mean we shoulndt get are hope high but think of it this way...the way the games are schedualed the teams that win beat the teams that are above us so they dont get the points needed and if the habs continue to win the god knows....i mean tampa arent playing that great ...and obviously neither are the devils...4-1 and lose!! n e ways i just hope they make the playoffs....cause when your there anything goes!!

Saku11. I must ask. Why do you call yourself Saku11?

Please Plouf and Saku 11....refrain from asking and answering. I think I know where this will lead and it wont be pretty!
Lets wait till after a Hab loss at least rather than adding post game family battle after a solid game from our Habs.
Plouf to answer your fair question. i am very much a Saku Koivu fan and have always been. In 1990 and 1991 , I had the chance to Go to Finland and play pro Soccer there, in the capital Turku. I began following a team there Called TPS turku. I than began taking notice of a young man who had what was called "Golden hands". His name was Saku Koivu. I attented almost every home game they had and had the chance to meet Saku many times. A young kid with such a head on his shoulder, He become the HIghest touted player outside of the NHL, Which for a long time before had never happened. He is considered like a God in Finland. I then moved on the other places and i have since then finished my career and decided to, out of all the places in the world, to comeback to Montreal. Now you must be thinking, why does he bash Koivu? I'll explain; I know what it is like to play in pro sports and for that reason i can tell you that there is no excuse for a pro athlete to perform at a low level, if you are well prepared and dedicated. There are certain time you will go thru a funk and bad times, but you do bounce back, and when you dont, it really does not play to the athletes advantage. You are going to be criticized and have fingers pointed at you. I love koivu and i love His effort, but when someone is underperforming, I will let them Know!

That's the right thing to do. Credt when due - constructive feedback when needed. Like any good relationship (ie coach/player, parent/child, best friends etc) you have to be able to talk the good and the bad.
But not to hijack the thread, I think that it was great to see the Habs dominate the Leafs (at least that's how the replays looked, even on TSN if you can imagine) and hopefully that will carry over into Saturday and start a fire. Because you can't be successfull waiting for others to fail.
Saku11, thats pretty impresive, you are right by the way. Koivu is considered a legend in Finland, all of Finland. by the way i did see your post about who lives in montreal... I do...i am going to the game on saturday. Do you have tickets?
Yes tlinden99, iam going to the game saturday. I have season tix. I gave last game tix to my brother, he came in from out of town, but i ll be there Saturday. let me know where you are seating and i ll come up and say hello!
Koivu is considered a legend in Finland, all of Finland.
No he isnīt. Jari Kurri is considered a legend in Finland, believe me i live here. if we want to exact even Teemu Selanne and Esa Tikkanen comes before Saks in legend category.
i heard rumors that selanne wanted to come to montreal since he like the chemestry between him and koivu...do you think its possible to have more the one finlandish legend in montreal?? i sure liked what i saw at the games

Nope, Selanne isnīt going to be Habs player. Reason for this is his wife who likes warm weather.
