The team in general looked unrecognizable. They played with constant intensity and look at the results. It’s not brain surgery Mr. Gainey, don’t have one man in. Have the forwards go full throttle and capitalize of the other team’s defensive breakdowns.

Our two top lines were great tonight. Double shifting Ribs with Bonk and Begin on the 4th line turned out to be a good decision.

I’ve always said, the Habs are not a top contender yet BUT when they play with intensity, they’re a hard team to keep up with.

I have even more respect for Markov now. The guy has been playing hurt the past few games. What a gammer!…and did Souray suddenly get his lethal shot back?

This was a satisfying night in all respects.

I am hoping they realize this is the time to step up to the plate. Playoffs are right around the corner

I think it was Kovy that was double shifted on that line?

Markov is probably the mvp for this team, they are like 3-11 without him, so thats a prettty good record with him

Markov, Habs MVP. I wouldn't argue that. He was the most valuable.

You know, it didn't even cross my mind. What did you like about it?

The last change was used well along with the balance of ice between lines. Also the one less forward meant more ice from Kovy of which I mentioned yesterday that he plays better with.

Kovy is an Bull...the more ice time you give him the more he's pumped. His conditioning is probably up there with anyone. It's fine for every odd game but BG can't expect to tax him like that every game...However, the games we need offense, put him on the ice more frequently than usual. Watching the game last night, I realized than Kovy has more talent in one finger than most players but he's totally inconsitant.

Unlike the previous games, they did not put the Koivu line against the Sundin line.  There was always a mismatch.  So gainey decided to go with the more defensively oriented line of Bonk.  Worked out pretty well.
