Tonight was a start but this team was lucky to get offense from two sources that don't score, Komi and Dandy. The core players still need to step it up because it's not like we beat the Wings. Our PP still needs to do better. On the 5 on 3, Saks has the puck in Caps zone then proceeds to skate into the two defenders and loses the puck. That can't keep happening. Then finally a play that makes sense.... something I mentioned before, Ryder actually went to the net and Saks plugged away behind the net to get the puck to the two guys in front. That's better and those simple plays is what's needed and the big guy, Ryder at the net without the puck.

 We're soooo much better with Markov in the line-up!

 This is a start against a weaker team and the guys need to keep it rolling. They kept it simple tonight and went to the net....good stuff. That's why we win on the road these days rather than at home, they seem to stick to basics. 

 I can't comment on the third period because I fell asleep. Good sign if it was boring while protecting the lead.

 I liked the line combos tonight. Many thought that Saks and Kovy need to play together but I still disagree until they pick up their games. The reason why is because Kovy's strong aspect of his game is with the puck and if Saks is losing the puck in traffic too much, it's a waste of Kovy and vice versa.

 Keep it going boys.

 Did Downer finally sit out? It makes more sense to have your toughness on the blue line because their on the ice more. Also get a sense that Simpson isn't scared to throw them.
