The Laffs are now a mere three points back because Kilger of all players scored on a penalty shot.
We absolutely have to win both back to back games against them because we don't want to be chasing for the last playoff spot. Those two games are 8 points in all. If we win they're done and wont catch us but the way our core is playing compared to theirs, it will be tough!
I watched the game until the power went out in Pen land. After the game resumed I loved it when the baby Crosby was shoved around a bit. Then Leclair jumped, in why I do not know. It did look like he was protecting his LITTLE BABY Crosby. Again Crosby almost gave himself whiplash when someone was near him and gave him s shove. He better wise up and grow up
WE BETTER NOT LOSE THOSE TWO GAMES, WE'VE LOST ENOUGH TOO THEM THIS YEAR. BESIDES I'VE PUT TOO MUCH MONEY, TIME AND EFFORT TO GET TICKETS FOR BOTH GAMES FOR ME AND 11 BUDDIES. MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH JUST THINKING OF LOSING ONE!
AND MORE BAD NEWS - Canadiens defenceman Francis Bouillon will undergo an MRI Monday to determine the extent of the damage he sustained to his left ankle as a result of a crash into the boards in Saturday night's contest. He woke up Sunday with pain in his ankle, and although x-rays following Saturday's game were negative, there does seem to be something more serious than a bruise with Bouillon's foot. - Montreal Gazette

Golf season will be coming to Montreal early this year, I'm afraid. Unless Huet plays every game and stands on his head, they'll be breaking out the Pro V1s even before the ice has melted. Even the returns of Markov and Bouillon may not be enough to help.
Unlike some, I do think this team has heart and I think they usually try as hard as they can. But I also believe that there's a deep lack of ability and skill (both mental and physical) at both ends of the ice right now. Our veteran forwards look sluggish, our young defensemen aren't experienced enough. And the leadership vacuum makes a black hole look like a car vac.
Time for Koivu and Kovalev to step up big time. On the blueline, Rivet and Souray have showed that they're going to rise to the occasion. Time for our veteran forwards to do the same.
