What can I say about Kovalev...Your team is down 5 to 4 to an AHL team. Less than 10 minutes left in the 3rd period and you wrestle a player to the ground who was not a threat to score whatsoever.

BUT let's keep talking about Koivu...he could of assisted on four easy goals tonight with great passes that led to some open nets...all misses. Forget about the brain dead penalty by the future aerobics instructor who wants to play until he's 50, let's bitch about Koivu.

Saks had alot of ice but it doesn't mean that he is any more effective than when he gets less. He made some bad passes on the PP while losing the puck in key areas. He shoots like an old lady but was never known for his shot. The only good news is that he wasn't the worse player because Kovy was worse.

You are the first poster that I've read, that has been so blunt and honest about Kovy. Not sure if I totally agree but congradulations for having the stones to express it!

i have spoke out on kovalev before

i never liked the idea of a 4 yr contract especially since he will be 36 in his last yr ,i thought the habs overpaid for him ,he is nothing more than a 23-24 goals 34-36 assists player ,4.5 million is crazy for a player like that ,i dont want to hear about him on the rangers and how the rangers were a mess ,he had 2 stints with ny he played on stanley cup teams the first time around, his big year with the pens he played with mario reminds me of someone called brown!

Gainey has to take some credit for that. With so many players fire sold over the last three years, why kovy??
