Kovy's 900th Game Tonight

Kovalev says we would want to play another 900 more. He wants to play until until the ripe young age of 50. Kovy - you ain't no Gordie Howe! He goes on to say that in the summer, he gets anxious after 2 months go by without hockey and he compensates by playing ball hockey on his street.


He signed a contract with the Habs that will have him here until the 2008-2009 season. He'll be 36. We are all sure that he won't be contemplating retirement at the end of that season by the way he's talking.


Here's the kicker, he'll be coming out with a physical training DVD this summer. A regiment that he lives by..............lol, you learn something new every day. Somehow I don't see Kovy in tight spandex saying "ok, now to the left 2,3,4"......Geez!

I know how everyone on here loves Kovy, but if he is as good as we all think he is/he can be - why doesn't he have, as a minimum, 20 goals at this point?  For a guy this slick, he should be burying the puck.

Ryder has 24 goals...Kovalev, our high priced sniper, needs to hang his head in shame that a kid from Nfld, 3 years removed from the East Coast League, is outscoring him.

Totally agree.  Everyone seems to love him floating around and controling the power play, but what really matters is how many helpers and goals he has.  I don't see him doing that 5 on 5?  I like the guy, but I have actually heard people on here say that he is the best winger in the league...haha.  Makes me laugh actually.  In fairness, I guess as a unit the team has been underproductive offensively.

He wants to play until he's 50. Kovy, why don't you give it your all for the next 5 years and achieve the success you were supposed to, than float around for the next ten years and be forgettable.
