I was watching the pre-game ceremony honouring Boom Boom and my girlfriend said look how proud Marlene (Boom Boom's wife) is of her late husband. I thought to myself...I hope one day my wife/girlfreind will be as proud when I pass.
My point: With a night like tonight, the Habs organiztion made me remeber to never stop striving for excellence. It's like I say "sometimes it's higher than religion". How can a sports team affect us in ways we never would otherwise expect? BUT the Montreal Canadiens are the classiest bunch around. Tonight, it's cemented in my heart, I'm proud to be a devoted Hab follower.
Sorry for the mushy talk but sometimes it's necessary!

No apologies necessary for "mushy talk". There is nothing wrong with honest feelings. I was watching the pre-game show also and had tears in my eyes for the family. I don't know if I could have been as brave as they were. I was most impressed. Our Montreal Canadiens have always been the best when it comes to honouring their current and/or past players. They truly are a classy organization.
