Weird.  To me, the spear was a lot (or is that "allot"? ) worse than the throat gesture.  Go figure..........

The spear, was dirty, but wasn't that violent. I think the NHL took that under review.

A spear is not violent, but a hand against your own throat is worthy of a suspension?  I fail to see the  logic there!


(Maybe it's because in my naivete I'm not sure who he directed the gesture at - a player or the ref - and I'm not sure exactly what the gesture signifies.

Honestly, watching that spear, it looked like he barely touched him.

My violent I meant that he didn't spear him hard. And yes, yelling your dead and making a throat slitting action is very violent
