I guess what I'm saying is that some mentioned that we would go after Luongo in the off season(not sure if you were one of them) but Keenan will try to sign him after signing his centermen.

Yes, he will try to sign him, he already has. Question is whether Luongo wants to stay in Florida, all signs are against it.

I think with the signing of Olli Jokinen, Luongon may want to stay. By signing your top scorer, and in this case, your team leader, it shows that there is a commitment to win.

Luongo said he would not sign with Florida uness Jokinen was re-signed, so thats why they made such an effort to re-sign him, rather then deal him.

I don't think Luongo will re-sign there. There just seems to be too much animosity between him and Keenan. It will be very interesting to see which teams lands him in the offseason... just as long as it's not Toronto!

Wow, the insight on this post is mind boggling. That was a great re-hash of everything that TSN, Sportsnet, CBC, ESPN and every other network has been saying for the past 2 months.
